I try to rate on style and it is standing up well i may do a 4.25.
People always tend to rate their local stuff high.
This is true just like sports.
I tend to rate stuff high that I like. I don't care where it's from. On the other hand, I live in a pretty big market so I am almost partial to beers that I can't get and almost always rate them higher than stuff I can get.
You see that sign that says 'Rib Tips'??
I don't pimp the home town brew in the ratings. I grew up hating the term 'homer' so I probably do a bit of the opposite.
When I pimp a hometown brewery like Pipeworks its for real. The Ninja series is out of this world.
Anyway. It's a sculpin night. Anyone else reminded of ZD? As it warms I get reminded of the citra hops covering the entire mouth, begging you to drink more. I love this, love to have them side by side to test my memory. Haven't had ZD in months. I can actually do this now
I didn't love it (the Anderson Valley Bourbon Stout), but I did think the Wild Turkey was present. I just don't love Wild Turkey.
I'm still confused as to how they put together a bourbon barrelled stout that was less than 7% abv.
Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm a schizophrenic and so am I.
LOLOLOLOL!!! Where did you find those?? Better yet, how? Or, did you make them??
Someone posted them over on TMB. I thought they were really cool.
They're all really cool.
I love the Heady Topper one.
Shal posted that in our thread. Man the little sumpin made me think of tripping.
LSD all the way!! I've seen a beer label move at least that much.
more here haha.
For anyone that hasn't tried it I highly recommend Williamsburg Alewerks Cafe Royale. It's a bourbon barrel aged coffee stout that also has a noticeable chocolate presence. As far as the Anderson Valley I definitely picked up the flavor of the Wild Turkey.
Cafe Royale and Bourbon Barrel Porter are both top notch.
As far as Anderson Valley it was a very average beer. Would not recommend to anyone.
Three W's In My Life: Ward, Weinke, and Winston
I'm not so sure that necessitated a pic.
Deal with the devil is great. Chitown is doing bigs things with there pale ales.
I should put pics up more. I mean I do some great pours of elite beers. Also if its cheap beer at the party i can be the keg master. I pour great no head on crappy beer.
I always do pics. I like to go back and look at them when I am bored.
SRLY.....Mook needs to send a brother a package.
I do them of epic hauls i got my memory for beer and look. Surprised at my memory still exist for how much damage i have probably caused.
