Good to hear. I didn't get the chance to try the first two. I'm debating whether to drink it in the near future or save it for a special occasion.
I would drink it now. You can always grab another if you like it. It will definitely age well.
Yep anything i can get at least 2 of i drink one fresh and then age one. Now if i can only get my hands on one it just all depends.
Sarah sorry about the Herpes.
Same here. I know there is plenty of Love Child No. 3 floating around here.
Yea they had plenty where I got mine. I'll probably try it after I finish the IPAs.
Best American examples of a belgian-style strong pale ale?
I'm usually limited to La Chouffe and Delirium Tremens, no complaints. Tremens seems to be half way between a BSPA and a tripel, while La Chouffe is a much more straight forward example.
"White man you just starting to get the blues" - Rags and Bones, Nomeansno
I am not that big into that style. Some off the top of my head would be Russian River Damnation and Goose Island Matilda.
There are tons of breweries that attempt the style though.
The Goose Island Pepe Nero sounds tasty. Grill/BBQ beer.
Bout to try a 21st ammendment lower de boom had to buy when i saw it in a baby can. ITs an American barleywine.
Decided to make it a La Chouffe day. Nothing special just a solid straight forward BSPA.
nothing wrong with going with something solid. I'm drinking a Great Lakes Silver and Gold IPL.
Having my first American craft beer in about two weeks and I had forgotten how good it was to have it available.
Three W's In My Life: Ward, Weinke, and Winston

Another Hunaphu drawing!
Got my wife's name and my name in already.
Heady is better than most sexual deeds i know i would take it over a hand job every day.
Cigar City El Catador Club
"El catador" translates from Spanish to "the taster." In cigar factories, el catador is responsible for tasting the cigars to determine its qualities in flavor and aroma.
El Catador Club is a special members-only club that guarantees you barrel-aged bottled releases as well as advanced access to purchase other special bottles. Here are the most important details of El Catador Club:
- Membership is $120*
- Membership guarantees you to one bottle of 5 barrel-aged beers to be released periodically over the course of your membership
- This membership does not have a set time period; membership concludes 30 days after the release of the 5th and final bottle. You will have first of refusal for the second installment of El Catador Club
- None of the beers are determined yet, but ONE will be a barrel-aged variant of Hunahpu's Imperial Stout
- Depending on the yield from each batch, there is potential for purchasing additional bottles for each member. This will only be determined when that beer is ready to be released to the club
- You will have advance notice of other beer releases and the chance to purchase these bottles before non-club members
- Other perks include an El Catador Club t-shirt, a membership card, 10% off all purchases in the tasting room, potential for advanced access to ticketed events and possibly members-only special beers on tap or available in growlers in the tasting room
Note that we are unable to ship bottles and therefore all of the bottles must be picked up only in our tasting room. We will allow trustees however, so for our out-of-state fans, now is the time to start reaching out to your local relatives and friends!
Details for purchasing El Catador memberships will be announced very soon so keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter feeds this coming week!
If the dates were announced beforehand I might consider this but having to go to Tampa at random points in the year isn't easy.
How far of a drive is it?
7 hours round trip. It would basically just take a whole day to do it. It's hard to find a day where I can just forget everything else to go buy a $40 750ml bottle of beer. If I knew the dates ahead of time it would be awesome. I'm still considering it though.
Thanks be to Aussie Bomb is one Phenomenal beer. I rated it 4.75 on BA but that was just quick rating i would probably go closer to a 4.9. I know i could have rounded up to 5 but that is relegated for true 5s to me.
I tend to not like to drink stouts in the summer especially hot and muggy days like today, but i had no lighter beers cold and thought well I need to know what this is all about. For something that heavy in abv it was not heavy in mouth feel or drinkablity. I quaffed the hell out of it.
