I forgot it was at Assembly Hall - you know John Cougar Melloncamp will be there to sing his team on to victory.
You see that sign that says 'Rib Tips'??
I live in Wyoming, so I'm not too familiar with the specialty/seasonal releases from New Belgium. I can tell you that the beer store I went to had the largest selection of New Belgium beers I've ever seen.
I'm headed back on Tuesday, and I would like to hit up New Belgium Brewery and Odell's Tap Room.
I tought you said you live in Fort Collins??
If I did it was a typo. I just took a day trip down to Fort Collins today. Wife had some shopping to do, had lunch, and I got to stock up on beer.
Living in South Wyoming, Fort Collins is a place we go once a month because we don't have a lot of shops and such here.
Oh, okay. I just assumed that's where you live.
Well, the Lagunitas Sucks was excellent. It has an odd, but nice, color for an DIPA.
Had no idea Hopslam was available in bombers. Anyway, time to go celebrate Bama finally winning one at Vandy
I am not a big fan of New Belgium. Most of their stuff is nothing special.
Most, but Lips of Faith is a great beer.
Not sure I have had that one. I pretty much stopped trying their stuff a few years ago.
+1 to that my friend. I was two years old the last time we won at Memorial. With the Robinson news & Vanderdoes visit etc this has been a pretty good day for Bama.
Here's my purchase tonight...

I've been curious about that Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye, but haven't picked it up yet. And as a Michigan fan, the Robinson news and Vanderhoes visit is good news to me as well (in regards to Poggi).
Ruthless Rye is really good.
It's good. I like just about any Sierra pale, especially Torpedo. This one is pretty mild (6.6 ABV) but it's got a good finish with the peppery tase from the rye. As for Newcastle I haven't had any in forever & was feening some.

Newcastle is just a little bland for me anymore. I am so used to craft brown ales.
I'm going over to a friends house to hang out with some folks & play some blackjack so in case some drinking bets/games break out I didn't want to have only 8/9% + brews like I did awhile back. Worst hangover I've had in ages.
Yeah I get that. Not a bad session beer at all.
Absolutely, seems like Vanderdoes is having a great time too. I will gladly let Michigan have Poggi to get Robinson and Vanderdoes. Place I went for dinner had very little selection so I just went with the 2 things they had I hadn't tried before: Bud Black Crown and Molson Golden. I'll be drinking much better the Super Bowl tomorrow; thinking maybe a Hel & Verdoemenis and a 50/50 Eclipse for starters.
For Budweiser's sake I hope that beer does better than that Golden Wheat nonsense they released four years ago. That was an epic fail.
It wasn't bad for a Budweiser beer. The flavor profile was very thin, but at least there was one.
What type of beer was it? I have seen those stupid commercials but they never even hint at what it is.
Lots of breweries make a citra...

As I did more research, that became apparent. I was just hoping to be able to have ready access, oh well.
Just had some of the Hop Juice. I don't understand why this is rated low on Beeradvocate. IMO this is an excellent DIPA and almost seems like the poster boy for what a West Coast IPA should taste like.
