Love the Big Eye and Sculpin. Had a buddy over last night and we finished a growler of Bourbon Barreled People's Porter from Foothills. Pretty damned good.
Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm a schizophrenic and so am I.
It's the worst. Makes no sense at all.
Where are you at in Philly?
Having a Maharaja. Me like.
You see that sign that says 'Rib Tips'??
Well, I'm not exacty in Philly. I'm in the burbs, Warrington. Sitting at a bar drinking a draft Nugget Nectar right now.
So much better than it was last year.
Sarah sorry about the Herpes.
Enjoy By... I'm impressed
Good stuff and is the easiest drinking 9.4 i have ever had.
Gotcha. I grew up in lower Bucks (Feasterville), now live in Philly.
I thought it was very, meh. I enjoy their other stuff, but something about the Enjoy By just didn't sit well with me. To each their own, Enjoy(pun intended).
I have heard very good things.
Definitely one of the best IPAs I had this year.

I was very impressed by the Enjoy By...like a previous poster said, it was a very smooth 9.4% ABV. Plenty hopped, nice color, hint of citrus but more on hoppy side than balanced.
Nice....I actually just moved out here from Queens last summer so still getting acquainted with things. I have made a pilgrimage to Monks and was at the Navy Yard for the festival last weekend.
Monks is pretty darn good. Philly is always rated one of the best beer cities and Monks is one of my favorite little spots in town.
Shalvoy if you ever see this, grab it, send it to me and become my hero forever. This sounds freaking amazing.
Any of you lucky to live near our brewery in Orange County have likely tried our homage to our hometown, Loakal Red, a super hoppy American red ale that we age a portion of in new American oak barrels. Well, we've now gone imperial with it. This luscious beer comes in at 12% abv, nearly double that of the original and packs a real punch of flavor. A great beer for sharing.
It's looking like they have a Loakal Red and that's all I can find yet. I'll let you know. You could do some checking, and if you find it in OC, I can grab it.
Yeah I don't think it is even out yet. Sounds like it will be pretty limited.
This is a delicious beer.

Will have to buy a few cases for the first annual Mario Pender fan club party
fsufsu said... I've got about 10 great stories on Lane but all you need to know is he will never be a loser, that's for sure.
Pic won't work for me, which Great Lakes is it?
Bourbon Aged Blackout Stout.
Very nice. Love the matching glass.
