Nope the coach has no idea what he's talking about. Scout has quotes from Smith talking about his commitment and that he cancelled his Tennesee visit.

I know I was just poking fun at the poster who said Smith was better than every current UM WR.

Yeah, he's going to be our #1 guy next year - he and Gardner had instant chemistry. Gallon only had 1 100-yd. game this year with Denard at QB, but he averaged 102 yards/game with Gardner.

Gerry Hamilton had this to say about him:

1. He's fast, period. He was quick off the line and getting into routes, and consistently ran past the corner's cushion on vertical routes.

2. He's a natural playmaker after the catch. Sleek and slippery - felt like he was going to break every catch, or maximize the play.

3. He showed impressive body control, and the ability to gear up and gear down with balance and body control. He tracked the ball in the air fluidly.

4. He does have to continue to get stronger and keep refining his route running, but he was about as talented of a WR as I saw this season.

I think he meant D1 college ball.
