Courtney Upshaw ( praise this man itt )

  • Probably the scariest looking badass i've seen in a few years

I knew about him by name but not his game until now

    What a beast

    Skins please!!!

Loved his post game award speech lulz, awesome!

  • My favorite player on this team. That guy is jacked out of his mind and he is a freakin baller. I love the speech as well.

    Sin City Tider

  • I hope the Packers get him. We need a big OLB to pair with Mathews.

  • Having sat through the Iron Bowl in JHS, there was no question that Upshaw was the best player on the field that day. Seeing him in person play is even scarier than seeing him on tv. Glad he is moving on.

    Big A

  • I think Cousins still has night-terrors of Upshaw from last years Capital One bowl.

    Upshaw is a beast.

  • My favorite Upshaw memory was actually from when he was a recruit...most people thought he was a big time AU lean & then he committed to Bama. AU's recruiting pitch was that he could come to AU & be the next Quinton Groves..Courtney's response was that he could also go to Bama and be the next QG & Roll Tide!

  • He is a badass, congrats to him on the MVP and his upcoming gigantic NFL contract and great career.

Also, congrats to Bama on the win last night. I felt like they gave it to LSU in the first game and they left no doubt last night. thumbsup

  • Hope he joins his former teammate Dareus in Buffalo.

Actually, I think he said he could go to Alabama and be the first Courtney Upshaw.

^^ Agreed. Frank Gore doesn't have to be a scholar in order to rush for 150 yds a game.

    Hester too among others

Besides most ate aware of it so once in fromt of a camera they are even worse

Give the kids a break, Upshaw sounded fine to me

Thick southern accent with some blackness but completely understandable unless you are just a pissed off racist looking for any reason to tear down the black man cool

  • One of my favorite all-time Bama players. I recall 1-2 weeks prior to the season beginning I said he was Bama's best defensive player and that I fully expected him to have a great season and "potentially" be a top 10 Draft Pick in 2012. I also said he was our meanest, scariest, strongest LB that I could recall in recent Bama history. At the time [which was likely mid August] one of the LSU posters here called me out for being a homer....saying no way he was as strong or as physical as Rolo McClain.

I'm proud of Courtney as he's from a rural area of Alabama in a town called Eufaula in Barbour County. Courtney is 1 of my favorite All-Time Bama players in part because I'm originally from Barbour County and much of my family still resides there...but even more for his efforts to raise funds for the Tuscaloosa tornado victims this past Spring.

Hoping he makes us proud in the NFL.

Jabrill Peppers...More I watch, the more I'm convinced he is the best player in the 2014 class. Barring injury, he will do special things.

    BamaBornDukie

  • I'd love to take him @ 20 for my Titans. Akeem Ayers, Colin McCarthy, and Upshaw would be a beast group of LBs.

    #105 Florida
    #114 Ole Miss

I wish Dallas would draft him but I doubt it.

Most of these teams also play in the SEC.....which inherently deflates their offensive rankings due to playing against the best defenses each week.

Compare the average points per game and average yards per game of the SEC Teams in conference games versus their output in their Bowl Games. I'd imagine most SEC teams far much better in their Bowl Game than they did in SEC play [excluding the BCS Title Game being the SEC foes played each other].

The teams we play actually play against defenses throughout the season.
