Again I think you need you need re-read my post veeeerrrrrrry carefully and then make sure to read the post I quoted and you will see how misplaced your original response to me was.

We went to Pennsylvania in 2011 and Dallas, Texas in 2012.

Cowherd is really losing it lately.

And we went to Pasadena in 2000 and Oklahoma in 2002. Went to Hawaii twice after that, that's pretty far. As you said, went to Penn State and Dallas the last couple years. We're also going to East Lansing in a few years.

It makes more sense for us to play neutral site games in ATL though. It's closer and helps more with recruiting. We still play tough teams though as we play VT next year and WVU in 2014 in ATL.

Regardless, I think Ohio State is a bigger national brand because they are the only major school in a huge state and the school's enrollment is massive. They churn out a lot more grads than we do.

  • Cool for tOSU.

But I'll take our program then, now, and in the future.

  • Cowherd also stated two weeks ago that "offensive lines are overrated" then turns around two days ago and stated "offensive lines are very underrated".

He's doing what he's supposed to, which is generate discussion/arguments and ratings.

  • Helps the spread of Ohio St with the shifting of the population as well at the moment. The only states with less of a population growth in the last decade than Ohio are Michigan, Rhose Island, and Louisiana (Katrina).

A lot of Ohio St fans have been moving elsewhere.

I wouldn't trade 2 of the last 3 BCS titles for Cowherd to change his mind though. Notre Dame has a great brand. A lot of good that does.

Texas A&M has almost as many fans as USC and Oklahoma combined? Yeah, sure, that seems legit.

    On now - interesting response

    I'd agree with that statement

Alabama has been strictly regional until of late. It's changing slowly though

I could by that if you think about how much bigger Texas is than Oklahoma. USC has a very loyal following, but they are not huge in numbers by any means. Texas A&M larger following in Dallas than OU (maybe not by a lot as there are a lot of OU fans in Dallas) and then when you factor in Houston and the other pockets of Texas, it's a ton of people compared to a very small state in Oklahoma.

Then you shouldn't have hit the quote button. Excuse me for assuming that you were directly responding to me when you quoted me in your response. You need to go to a message board re-education camp.

More people have ties or live in Ohio than people with Ties or live in Alabama

Enrollments Ohio State 64k Alabama 31k

Its pretty simple. College football is state and school pride based

    pretty much sums it up....

Why, because OSU has a bunch of tatooed students looking smoked out, walking up and down a strip filled bars that is basically on campus. Or is it because you may see an ocasional movie star on the strip.

Fewer bars now than when I was a student. Amateur hour now! RIP Papa Joe's!!! At least the Libary is still around.

  • Not really a stretch to say that. Huge ass following for OSU.

The Browns suck so OSU is that regions football franchise, similar to SC.

I am lost on this. Not even being mean. I'm just completely missing your point.

Is it just to jab at OSU campus life or the students? If so, step your game up. If not, please explain further.

Really, I think that this thread is pointless. Bama is dominating college football, and the squad really does not appear to have any competitors. Bama is about to win a 3rd national title and can't be stopped by anyone, not even Vegas. I was in NJ and heard a kid saying Roll Tide. You can use the chant like a verb, and people across the nation would get it. Don't make me roll tide your azz! Get it.

No people are actually as dumb as me and still follow the Browns too. Yes we are aware we a sick humans. Fwiw...The Browns Backers Worldwide is the largest fan membership club in the world. Lots of dumb ass's not only in Ohio but worldwide.
