Shows about what I have thought.

SEC and PAC12 are the top 2 power conferences. The PAC12 is getting no love from the human polls, but the computers love them. The only 2 PAC12 teams that are ranked higher in the human polls than in the computers are Oregon and UCLA. Oregon will have a chance to change that over the next few weeks as well. One team, Washington is getting murdered in the human polls because they have lost to some really good teams. Washington is a top 20 team, IMO.

    My top 20 would be:

    Oregon
    Kansas St
    Notre Dame
    Ohio St
    Alabama
    Florida St
    UGA
    LSU
    Stanford
    Texas A&M
    Oregon St
    Florida
    Clemson
    Nebraska
    South Carolina
    USC
    UCLA
    OU
    Washington
    Texas

The post is too long I tried to read with SEC speed but could not make sense of it.

My apologies, I just hate the huskies. Your argument is probably more than valid. Their first 5-6 games were just brutal.

I agree, but don't forget that 3 of those first 5 games were LSU, Oregon, and Stanford.

There probably aren't 10 teams in the country that could win 2 out of those 3 and not too many more that could even win 1.

  • Do you really think comparing the "Top 3" and the "Top 6" from each conference is an honest representation when the conferences don't all have the same number of teams?

  • I think the Pac-12 is consistently underrated.

I threw that in there just to take a look at it from more angles. I really don't know what the most honest representation is.
Some feel that the bottom half shouldn't matter at all and only the top 3/4 teams are what counts. Personally, I think looking at how the top 8-10 teams in a conf. have performed is the best way to judge how good a conf is.
