I think I'm in the minority here, but I'm going to take Dabo's side.
Let's say Michigan says they are going to take 1 QB, and takes one. Then they start recruiting QB's, with the idea that they would just drop the kid who committed. You would say that Michigan was being unethical...and I would of course agree. Michigan owes it to a kid to only offer if they are ready to honor it.
I believe a recruit has the same ethical responsibility. If you want to commit, then understand what the definition of that word is. The commitment is an arrangement that two parties agree they will honor.
Exceptions: 1. If the kid does something really stupid, then the school has a right to rescind their offer without feeling bad about it. Ex, goes out and gets 3 MIP's 2. If the school changes coaches or does something really stupid, the kid has the right to rescind their offer without feeling bad about it.
I don't think these exceptions apply in Dabo's situation. Michigan has the same set of expectations of their recruits as Dabo does, and I think it benefits both the kids and the university.

Let these 17 year old kids have their fun and enjoy the process and see places they never had the opportunity to see.
I promise if this was a 5***** recruit, Dabo doesn't do what he did.. No effing way.
Probably just an excuse so he can get someone else on the radar better than said kid.
