    Seriously. I almost fell out of my chair laughing at this one: "In 8 yrs I've never steered a kid wrong". Was like, wtf? If by "not wrong" he means "wherever is going to get the most $$$ in my pocket", then I guess he is right.

    Coaches don't commit to the players so I say let the kid have his visits.. If he truly likes your school, then he will go there.

    again I agree, but coaches need to know the kid is coming to their school, they only have a certain amount of schollys. say your team gets a commit from a 5 star QB, so you fill other positions, in the mean time other teams are getting the other QB's...then your QB de commits after "visiting" another school. you are screwed.

    There is a difference in Official visits and joining your teammates and Asst. Coach on a summer getaway with friends (get away from mom etc.) I listened to local radio and this is why the coach is mad is the kid DID NOT waiver in commitment.

    Yeah. I cannot believe any parent allows him anywhere near their CFB recruit child. Hopefully his mom will come to her sense and realize what a leech he is.

    The Joyner stuff was pretty funny though.

  • There really is no black and white way to classify this type of thing. For example, if the player committed and told Dabo he was going to still see some places, that qualifies as prior notice. Further, I don't think it's a bad thing for them to do it. I know that a committment should mean more sometimes, but NOW is the time to be sure. It could save a mistake that later results in a transfer and losing valuable eligibility. On the other hand, it wouldn't be good to do it in January if you've been committed for months and months. I tend to side with the kids in most of these situations. But if they let things get uncertain for the school they're committed to, they don't need to whine if their spot gets taken late in the game.

    The conversation between the player and coach isn't available to us to judge, so i tend to just let this stuff go. If a kid doesn't want Alabama, then so be it. But it would be nice to know it before signing day.

    FSU strong safety. Top ten recruit in 2010. Transferred to St Thomas Aquinas as a senior. A lil short but a bad MF'er.

    Because Genron posted on the Insider OSU boards on scout saying he was OSU bound

    Joyner just played him off like he was just talking bullshit
