Damn Reporter Asking Mark Richt Why He and Aaron Murray Can't

  • DawgCommander said...

I was just jabbing at you. All the top teams in the SEC have my respect. This year proved any of the top teams can beat each other on any given Saturday.

True that. I'm ok with it because y'all beat us. I'd be dishing it out if it was the other way around. I'm sure you were like me and was raised to hate the other's team. Y'all beat us fair and square and represented the East in a good game last night.

I would say the timing might have been a little off. Maybe ask that question in a couple of weeks, not minutes after a tough loss.

This is why Bobby Knight's one of my all time favorite coaches in any sport at any level even though I ever went to IU nor have I ever set foot inside the state of IN

Never has a coach been so adept at calling out the morons in the media that had a propensity for asking questions like "Gee Coach Knight, how does it feel to lose the Big 10 on a thirty-five foot buzzer beater after your team blew a fourteen point lead with three and a half minutes to go?"

Bob Knight pressers over the years provided some of the most entertaining moments in sports IMO

That was a classy response IYO? He stormed out of the room in a classy way?

I'm not sure why it's a controversial, pot-stirring opinion I have that coaches shouldn't melt down in post-loss press conferences. Classy coaches go out there, say the better team won, that they came up short, and perhaps compare it to 9/11 or Pearl Harbor.

He didn't storm out of the room. They asked if anyone had anymore questions and no one did. Then he came back in and said what he had to say.

Right, nobody had any more questions for Dennis Green either.

The journalists were what Denny thought they were! He just let them off the hook.

    lol

never-done-nothing "Journalists" that try to make themselves a part of the story in connection with a sporting event are little more than vermin and make me want to pukeface

CMR is just too nice to give the reporter the chairshot he really deserved

Did you even watch the clip or are you just talking out of your ass?

Seems like you are talking out of your ass IMO.

He never yelled responded with a question of his own, waited till someone said "thank you coach"- indication that the interview is over and left. So yeah I would say he handled it just fine. I felt you were comparing this to say Gundy of a few years back, this was nothing like those kind of blow ups.

I do agree he should have given the token, " the better team won" comment, as I do believe the better team did win. But really being called out as a coach like that right after a heartbreaker, I thought he responded just fine.

I actually agree with you 100%. I think it was a legitimate question, but you could tell he was trying to be a prick in the way the question was asked.
