I still serve tables but I "Head Wait" now. I take in everyones money that owes at the end of a shift and make sure they gave me the correct amount. Take all that money, enter different stuff into the computer for recording purposes, give out tipshare money to hostess/bartenders/bussers and so on and on. Instead of 2.13 hourly I get 5.25, a free meal, no sidework, badass section.
As far as money per shift, during the weekdays anything from 60-100. Weekends, 100-150+. For a college student its great money and it funds my alcoholism

Yeah, thats what I figured.
That's pretty good man. I probably make a little less than you do on average, but it is definitely a great job for a college student. It's nice to have cash all the time.

The only thing I don't like about my job is that the servers have to do a bunch of side work. We sweep and mop, wash silverwear and dishes (if there's no dish washer), roll the silverwear, clean the bathrooms, clean the beverage room, clean the server alley, and take out trash. A couple of people that I work with said that the cooks do the majority of that stuff at most places.

I am sitting in a museum in the Nebraska Panhandle handing out surveys to visitors. There has been one visitor all day. It's actually a really nice museum. I was expecting a dump but I was very impressed. However no one else seems to be.
