if you're training hard, like hours of exercise a day then Gatorade does help re hydrate you faster and water because of the calories and sugar, but if you're a couch potato than all of those calories and sugar does absolutely nothing for you. For the modern public that doesn't exercise enough or at all, than it's bad, but if you're any sort of person who trains a lot than Gatorade actually is good for you

It's advertised as a sports drink for athletes, and it does a great job at preparing and replenishing athletes during/after exercise. Nitpicking by saying it's bad for regular people is just stupid.

Gatorade isn't bad for you if you drink it when you're supposed to. The electrolytes and carbs can help a good deal if you are training hard.
