    I think it has to be 247 wide if it is going to work. Maybe a lower price $2 if people think $5 is going to be a deterrent to traffic.

    If it isn't site-wide then people could sign up on the Butler board (example only) to troll the Alabama board or the RCMB.

    You have to be a paying member of BOL to post there. Same with a few others as well.

    Well, tBB would be open to anyone who's a VIP anywhere else on the Network. $5 entry for a "general" 247 username that gets you tBB/tGB, etc. would work for the KSU/OkieState/TCU folks.

    Another thought is make it free to view, but $5 entry fee to post.

    Noah said as much a few pages back. Figure Maryland, MSU, the Bodda Getta could benefit from it. BOL/Bucknuts are pay to post. Not sure about Texas; the Longhorns rarely venture outside their board.

    Obviously the smaller sites want to grow a bit before that, especially "from the ground up" spots like Wolverine247, etc. It'd be a nice site-by-site feature though.

    Bodda Getta is a pay to post like BOL I believe.

    I just think there are people on here like the Michigan and LSU fans that would have never came here if we were charging them 5 for their name when they didn't have anything other than tBB and tGB. At some point I do think at some point their needs to be a premium national board and a free national board though. Just don't know if the network is big enough for that yet.

    Thanks! Definitely something to consider after board rewrite is complete ... maybe allow sites to determine if they use that rule or not... some of our new sites would get laughed at if they pulled this, but established ones could easily work.

    All of 247 should not have to suffer because rcmb cannot properly mod their board. The blue board seems to do fine with the mods that we have. And we do an excellent job over at the Michigan board. If rcmb cannot mod their board properly, maybe they just need new mods. I volunteer my time if you need me. Give me the power to mod the rcmb board and I promise you will have no further problems with them.

    So, it'd be possible to institute a nominal fee for any user names on any single board? Huh, we need to do that on tRCMB. Obviously, existing users would be grandfathered in and VIP would cover the small fee.

    The idea of viewing for free and paying when you start to post is a good one. forgot who said that in this thread. but you could try it out before you start posting.

    I payed for BOL for a few months. I decided I could live without the access to the info over there.

    Why would they charge for TBB when its content is user generated?

  • I could see boards like RCMB and others having an option so that only posters that paid the 5 fee or VIP could post there. A national board is going to have to be free though. Maybe not this one and we create a new one like Rivals has in Soundoff but got to have a place so people can get into recruiting without having to pay.

    You have to be a VIP user on BOL to post I believe. I think you can view the board and the posts but you can't post at all unless you're VIP.

    No. It's a thread by which Nigel has figured out a way to troll tBB and Noah. If Nigel was serious with this idea, all he had to do was pm Noah. Instead, he has someone from rcmb start this thread on tBB with obvious consequences. He is trolling you from the beyond and laughing his a** off.

    Might I make a counter-proposal? A BB ban for Woodson, who's done nothing but troll a thread started in good faith that's providing largely fruitful discussion.
