    No, I am not. In fact, there are numerous posters in this thread that either think this is a bad idea or think that Nigel is just trolling tBB. I might be the most vocal, but I am not the only one. I think tBB is fine just the way it is. And I don't care if rcmb is having trouble with trolls. That is their problem. And, as I said earlier, I don't think 247 should adopt rules for all of 247 just because rcmb has trouble controlling their board.

    The biggest recruiting site on the net is pretty much all pay for... I've state that RCMB is a board that may need something like this and unless you've paid this fee or are VIP on other boards you shouldn't be able to post there. Other boards like this board should be free IMO or atleast have a free version.

    Woodson's is the worst troll left on tBB between the MSU/UM contingent. Everyone was taking this seriously till he showed up. It's the definition of trolling/thread hijacking.

    tBB mods can do whatever they want; it's their board to moderate. I just made a suggestion to try and keep this thread on track.

    Have you seen Harry Callahan, OPTP or Dwags post. They are all 100 times worse than Woodson.

    Maybe if you get banned 5 or more times, then you start charging, but anything before is just restricting traffic. For team boards, I can get behind the idea that you have to request permission to post on the (team)board after you create your name and that will reduce a lot of trolls and still preserves the free nature of message boards.

    We have a problem on tRCMB with a racist/homophobic poster that gets around all of our bans (IP bans included) and this board software doesn't allow us any more options besides a nominal fee (I'd suggest $2) for new usernames.

    I'm not talking about every board and definitely not this one. I completely understand RCMB's problem though. Maybe some of the boards need to have an option that if you create a name that is able to post on RCMB you have to pay a fee.

    Then leave the thread. If you can't discuss this real idea then maybe you should just stop posting in here. You obviously don't want to discuss it. RCMB is on this network and this network's main message board is tBB. We always discuss ideas for the network and individual boards.

    I am speaking solely about TBB being free. If 247 wants to create a premium National board, then that is up to 247.

    I don't think TBB has enough posters as it is now. I usually end up participating in whatever thread is active just to stay entertained (whether or not I care about the topic). Separating it into 2 boards would be suicide.

    As Noah said, it would likely be a board-by-board option. tBB wouldn't have to adopt it, but it's a feature that some of us see merit in. Pay to post sites, like BOL, Auburn and Bucknuts don't have to worry about it. The larger free boards (S. Car, MSU, Maryland, for example) may want the option.

    It's just a topic to discuss. No one's wedded to the idea, but it's just something to toss around.

    Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

    As long as we have the ability to shut our doors to anyone that hasn't paid the $2? No. If that's possible then I only ask why we haven't instituted it already.

    Yeah but you can ban people and they don't like to pay again to get back on. Here all you have to do is change your IP (Not hard if you know what you are doing) and sign up for a new name.

    tRCMB has never been VIP or donar only in a permanent way. On vBulletin during meltdowns it would switch to donar only. tRCMB is not a traditional recruiting board and until the move over to 247 recruiting was hid in a dark basement and rarely talked about.
