Did you turn the ball over unassisted...your own players fumbling untouched or dropping balls while wide open? Not being an ass, didn't have a chance to watch the game.
Turnovers are usually caused by pressure from the opponent.

One of the turnovers was Denard throwing it up right before half. Of the other 5, one was a fumble when the player was hit. The 4 picks were a combination of pressure on Denard and UM choosing to play a running back at QB. To be fair, one of the picks was on a half back pass. Not sure why a team with a running back playing qb would run a half back pass...seems kinda redundant. Anyway, I would blame that one on the O coordinator.

These are some of the same passes ND defenders missed picking off last year. This year the defense is better and defenders were actually turning around at thrown balls. Denard has zero accuracy. What we learned last week is he has just as little pocket presense.

Denard had a bad game, maybe the worst of his career. And he can file it away with all his great games and victories. That includes three 200/200 games, a Sugar Bowl win and, oh yeah, three wins over ND. Golson can file this game away with the Purdue game from two weeks prior, the other game he's been pulled from in his first four. When you are consistently pulled by your HC and replaced with Tommy Rees, you aren't a good QB.

Based on what? Denard was not recruited to play in Al Borges' West Coast offense. He belongs in a spread. Go back and look at how good he was in 2010, in Rich Rod's offense. Denard is doing his best to adapt and has had some very good performances, but to some extent it's like trying to force a square peg into a round hole. Compare that to Everett Golson, who was recruited by BK to play in BK's offense. Despite Tommy Rees' problems last year, BK didn't turn to Golson but instead to another backup QB who also struggled. And this year, in the only two close games ND has had, BK has been forced to pull him and go back to Rees. So please tell me, what has Golson done to demonstrate he will someday be a good QB?

The last time the series between Michigan and Notre Dame took a break - a long long break....the Irish won, it appears history repeats itself.
After reading this thread, it's kinda sad the series is taking a break...the discourse is rather heated - like a real rivalry.

Leading into this year's game, we had won 3 in a row and 5 out of the past 6. We finally dropped a game because of way too many stupid turnovers. It happens. We weren't going to win every game forever. Things will return to normal when we beat them next year in Ann Arbor.

It is a good rivalry. Me and a buddy of mine that is a Mich have been every year since 97 with the exception of 2 years. I am confident they will continue to play, just not as often. It will probably some sort of rotation with Purdue and MSU.
