Most Florida fans are glad he is gone. He quit on the team and tOSU doesn't even know what they are getting into. Now, if Muschamp will get rid of Weiss, they will be fine.
If anyone thinks that health was the issue, they are crazy. Meyer knew that he had gotten himself in a hole at Florida and that it was going to take way too much work to get them back than he was/is willing to put in.
Before anyone points to his success. look at the QB's he had at BG, Utah, and Florida. The only one he recruited was Tebow, who was a 3rd Generation UF student with brothers and sisters that attended there as well. The other starting QB the genius recruited for Florida was Brantley. How stupid can you be to recruit Brantley to run Dan Mullen's spread offense?
Urban to tOSU is the 2nd best thing that has happened to Michigan in the last 10 years, after getting rid of RichRod.

So his record as a coach doesnt matter? Then why is everyone making a big deal about him coming. I love selective reasoning

If it hasn't already been said the best thing that Urban will have over Michigan is again being able to lock down the state of Ohio in recruiting. Michigan won't be able to get the kids out of Ohio like they were doing this year. They will of course get whatever Cass Tech has to offer from Michigan but they will only be able to get the kids that Meyer doesn't offer from Ohio. That's where Michigan will struggle from here on out. It's not a flame, it's just how it's going to be. I don't care if Mattison is the greatest recruiter in the world, when you think of the Florida Gators and winning national titles, you aren't thinking about Mattison while he was there.

Leading for recruits means squat in football recruiting. Blah Blah Blah, this team is so young. Stick to what 2011 has meant for the suckeye program. Tats, more tats, ignorant AD, hating on Puke Sickell. No sir, we laugh at your donkey smelling manure post because 2011 shows what the hairless nuts program is all about, and to start 2012,...ncaa sanctions. Awesome.

Haha, I haven't participated all that much in the numerous posts about Meyer over there actually but I really think the same thing is going to happen under Meyer as did Tressel. The past 10 years didn't go all that well for you on the field against us and a big reason is that Tressel controlled the state of Ohio in recruiting by offering illegal benefits.

C'mon man you know the same thing was being said on Mgoblog when Harbaugh was the coach all of you were wanting. I read the posts over there saying very similar things that happen to be on Bucknuts. Anyway, if we pay money to post on sports forums and read news stories every single day on the same thing, it means we all probably have an unhealthy love for the team we root for.

Well I didn't read mgoblog back then. If Meyer is going to take 4-5 FL and a couple of kids from other states, that means only so many OH will make it into the class. Combine that with Meyer possibly running spread-like offense, there may be just as many if not more OH kids going elsewhere. Additionally, now that presumably everybody will be recruiting on a level playing field, anything can happen especially if Meyer doesn't start winning right away with a team in which he didn't recruit any of the players.
