It would also only. Bring less than a million new barrels of oil per day to the US. The US uses over 20 million barrels per day. This would not lower gas prices. Oil prices are set on the world market. It's all supply and demand. If more oil is put on the market, production will be slowed in other countries to keep supply down and prices up.

I think it wasn't turned down completely as much as it was sent back for a different plan to make sure we don't ruin people's drinking water. but i'm sure you'll blame that on him too. Because he let it happen. Cheaper gas...laughable... it wouldn't effect the market and it would take years to even start flowing. You just want a reason to be a moron USMCAG.

I haven't watched fox news since.... I don't know if I have ever watched Fox news. However, to act like adding 250k jobs is insignificant is a joke. I mean come on... we would be getting 5% of our oil from our friends to the North instead of relying on the most unstable/anti-western area in the World. Where is the downside???

I remember 10 years ago we were told drilling in ANWR was useless because it would take 10 years to have an impact. Thanks for that.
Obama turned down the pipeline because he wanted to big dollars from the Sierra Club donors. If you believe that A) this was going to ruin drinking water or B) the reason for killing it was anything but cynical politics then I've got a bridge to sell you.
I'm sure you're right on one point though: It was "sent back for a new plan" that will 99.998% resemble the old plan, but happen right after the election.
