Michigan doesn't have it as tough as Tennessee. Building a program in the SEC takes a lot longer then the B1G IMO.

    We're not building a program, we're building a roster.

I guess that's what everyone should have thought about Michigan too after the RR experience.....

You can't compare Tennessee and Michigan. Michigan has it easier in the BIG, while I don't think Tennessee will get more than 7 wins a season with a head coach, but thats just me.

My point still stands. It's harder to recruit and win games in the SEC. The longer you are down, the further you are away.

I think we'll get our fair share of players if we can show production with the new coaching placements. They can recruit with the new staff as long as they show they can maintain some success, and even more if they can bring in the talent they want to recruit.

I'd agree the longer you are down the harder, but we've still never lost more than 7 games, and that's a feat only one other school can claim.

    Hoping for the best.

Oh right. What about Joe McKnight's car? Or was that his girlfriends Range Rover?

Or OJ Mayo getting paid? Or was it just basketball program?

I'm not standing over any program chirping them for supposed moral deficiencies propping up Michigan's in the process. Considering you just had 30 schollys stripped and 2 years bowl ban, you would think that would silence you.

Then SC hires Lane Kiffin. roflmao

SC is probably the worst example of a school to be preaching about anything.

Although Joe was cleared, he was asked to not return to USC by the university. There is no documentation stating that USC paid any player, including OJ Mayo.

You hired Rich Rod, and you've had more than your fair share of sanctions.

Don't play stupid and ignorant, it's unbecoming.

See, it is comments like this which prove that the anti "oversigning" masses don't even understand what they are opposing. I bet you can't even explain what it is you're fighting against.

    Yup

God forbid a thug who doesn't even go to class gets his scholarship pulled

The NFL is going to give the NFC East 7-14 more draft picks per yr every yr. ok?

Baseball gives compensation picks each season to teams that couldn't sign their draft pics. That's a better analogy.

Yep and Aubrenz recruitment of Cam Newton was picture perfect. With no subpoena power comes no real power. USC was innocent just like OJ and Casey Anthony.

What does Michigan have to do with anything? I'm not holding Michigan's academic prowess or upstanding moral code above anyone else. That's you chica.

I'm not playing stupid and ignorant, just keeping a fan base that is evidently full of delusion in check.

Nope.....The NFC East from now on will have 7-14 more draft picks and sort through them accordingly and cut the excess then we have a level playing field right?

Not at all a decent analogy, but believe what you choose to believe. After all, the overwhiners arent pushing rules that would hurt anyone...except the players and the schools and pretty much everyone involved.

If you want to pretend there's some unfairness going on, then maybe the better analogy would be that the NL West chooses to decline any available compensation picks.

You actually don't know what's going with the program.... So there is no reason to debate it.... Tennessee will be fine.... It's not about being a homer...Tennessee has talent ... More of it is on the offensive side, but they will be just fine. It's just been a rough rebuilding deal the last two years. How many freshmen were playing in that loss to UNC?

How wasn't that a decent analogy? Please explain the difference of what I said to what was previously going on in the sec..... so you think its ok that certain schools can sign extra players and wait to weed them out later and the remaining schools aren't allowed to practice this? You most certainly have to be kidding. (hopefully)

And to try to compare MLB to college football is the WORST analogy ever.

Obviously Dooley is mad he can't oversign anymore and that leads me to believe they aren't heading in the right direction....Sounds like Dooley is having a hard time going after quality kids.

Before we carry this any further, please tell me what you think happens when someone "oversigns". If you accuse a coach of that, what, specifically, are you saying he did? I still don't think you know what you're arguing against.

Oversign means you sign more people than your allowed to....am I wrong? ( and if I am not then please explain how my analogy was wrong or not having any resemblance of what goes on in the sec)

You were trying to justify oversigning as if it doesnt offer any type of advantage.

Really? He had two top 15 recruiting classes before the 2012 class. He didn't even sign a full class this year and it was a top 20 class with a one 5 star player and a great wr class. Are you seriously going to go there?

Sign more than you're "allowed" to. OK. Fair enough, Mr. Webster. Allowed to by whom?
