  • Things you probably already know but he is visiting Bama June 8th and after that weekend, we should know more. If he flips to us then we can kiss Kamara goodbye.

    Hanging on to Tyren Jones may also be tough. If we can only have one, who do we take? Do you turn down Henry to keep Jones? That just doesn't seem right.

  • Very possible he flips to Alabama. Signing day is so far off though. Hope he stays with UGA but he can't go wrong with Alabama.

    Jones solid to Bama. Coaching staff was upfront and told him they might bring in 3 backs before he even committed. Also, Jones not really concerned about the backs that are coming in with him in his class. He feels confident he will separate himself from the pack. Kid is a baller and confident in his abilities. Never has shyed away from competition. A lot more to his evaluation than depth chart and Alabama offers him what he is looking for. Georgia off-field issues, particularly with their RB's in recent past, didn't do them any favors. Something seems broken over there, real or perceived. [Not here to judge] Also the Bama track record of late with their RBs is hard to argue with. Again, solid Bama.

    Looking at what we got on campus, a player has to be a little worried about the depth chart. Also, I just don't see Henry as a RB on the next level. He's a better athlete than RB and reminds me a lot of Richard Samuel coming out of high school.

    You may be right, and i seem to agree. BUT Nick Saban will play a taller and thicker back that most wouldn't give a shot to even be a RB.
    Jalston Fowler - 6'1 245
    TJ Yeldon - 6'2 210
    Kenyan Drake - 6'1 187

    In all honesty, I think Henry is set on playing RB until he sees in his own eyes that he can't be a RB. But i would hate for someone to tell me I can't play something that I think I can. IF he sees for himself that his best position is somewhere else, then he can/will open his mind. - Brent Calloway

    SOLID to BAMA no doubt in my mind..even if he wasn't we wouldnt take Henry over Jones "Aint' no waaaay"

    Tyren is really going to enjoy getting 8 carries per game.

    Jones said after he committed that we are taking three RB;s and he was going to start reoccurring Kamara. Henry will not have anything to do with his recruitment. The bottom lin is we will land either Henry or Kamara for out 3rd RB.

    Same list that existed when he committed x Derrick Henry...guess that says enough. Only time will tell who ends up where on depth chart. Doubt CNS cares all that much about those recruiting service stars... The ballers will play. List looks the same for Tenpenny or Henry, why should Jones be the one concerned...IMO he is best 2013 RB prospect

    Saban is telling Henry he is going to play RB or Henry wouldn't be listening. Which...it is arguable how much he actually is listening anyway. He is dead set on playing running back, though.
