I take everyone's opinion about a commit with a grain of salt. I don't know how many times on the home board people are saying "so and so is gonna commit within the next few days." Or, "I'm hearing good things about so and so recruit." I don't trust anybody's word anywhere except Bill K. Sure it's good to hear we're in the lead for someone but I don't put any stock into anything whatsoever. It's just a temporary feel-good story.
I find it much easier to not believe anybody. If it does happen it's a pleasant surprise. If it doesn't, it's not as big of a shock to me.
That's true.
I think every Michigan fan believed he was committing earlier because of actual recruits at the BBQ saying it would happen. But in the end it didn't. We'll see where Derrick ends up when he makes his decision. Hopefully it's the good guys.
