Full disclosure: I have a free lifetime membership to Bucknuts / tBB.

When we were in Vegas Noah bet me that I wouldn't strip naked and swim the full length of the Bellagio fountain pool.

Apparently I don't lose every drunken, idiotic bet I make.

Regardless of whether or not you have invested a financial interest in tBB or not, you still have a hell of a lot of prestige. You're a pretty popular guy here. My guess is nobody knew who this neowhateverhisnameis dude was until this bet. You still clearly had more to lose than him. And regardless of whether or not you have something to lose, where is he? If he was to put his Blue Board rights on the line, why isn't he here proving he had something to lose.
I'm calling him out right now. Come here and claim your prize, Neowhatsit. If you can't do that, you have no right to it. And no, that's not an invitation for a paying scUM member to come here and say "He sent me." I want the guy to come here himself and prove he has a vested interest. If he doesn't reveal himself, you shouldn't have to fulfill such a bullshit obligation, because clearly, he wasn't going to either. Just my opinion.

So are BN posters going to be banned for bumping 26-21 thread? Who makes the call on what can and can not be bumped?

I'd just like clarification on the rules so I know what not to do.

The guy throws a fit about Chic Fil A threads and then proceeds to bump Chic Fil A threads that were several months old that had nothing to do with the CFA controversy.

Regardless that is not what he was banned for from what I remember.

Out of curiosity, do you get a lot of strangers to follow your orders on message boards?

This is the most whining from BNers since they got news of their bowl ban.

When tBB went VIP, it was made very clear that any user who posted and did not have VIP could make their desire known and still be allowed to post. Therefore this reasoning is lazy.

No that was just a ruse. It was really to get rid of Michigan fans.

http://247sports.com/Board/30/ITT-Homophobes-get-my-thread-locked-11125829/1 - ITT he calls people who support Chik Fil A homophobes (which, I happen to think namecalling from site moderators, who should be held to a higher standard of conduct with the customers, is grounds enough to get rid of them)

http://247sports.com/Board/30/Apparently-we-cant-discuss-this-issue-like-adults-10946632/1 - ITT he calls people who disagree with his agenda mouthbreathers (as a mod, he shouldn't be talking to customers like that). The title of his thread is snotty and doesn't reflect the conduct of a professional.

http://247sports.com/Board/30/Boston-mayor-tells-Chick-fil-A-to-stay-out-10999874/4 - ITT, he blasts people who think differently than he does:

    EXAMPLE:
    WRobins said...

"6. As I have stated in numerous threads, intolerance runs both ways. For those who say CFA is wrong for not supporting gay marriage, then how can you say a city trying to block a company for it's views is good or meritous? One is just as wrong as the other. If we continue to allow such things, we are defaming our own Constitution and Bill of Rights. Each individual has his or her rights to believe what they want to believe. These public displays of personal belief just further muddy the PC water."

Buttsnake's response: "Except your side is trying to limit the choices of others that they themselves already have. It's intolerance. You're free to have your intolerant views, just don't get mad when the rest of the country doesn't buy your bullshit.

Like civil rights, women's suffrage, etc., your side is going to come out on the losing side of this, and the history books aren't going to be so kind to you." (Basically, he's calling the customer's political views intolerant and says the customer's beliefs are bullshit, which is hardly professional conduct).

    ANOTHER EXAMPLE:
    USMCAG said...

"Sad." (talking about a link he posted saying that a Chik Fil A spokesperson died as the company was battling controversy)

Buttsnake's response: "I blame God." (mocking the religious beliefs of at least half of 247sports' customers, which is a major league no-no to any customer relations person who isn't a complete dumbass.)

    YET ANOTHER EXAMPLE:
There have been several occasions where Buttsnake (and other scUM mods) would pinch premium information from other sites without permission and freely give it to everyone on their site. They even took a potshot at one of the writers on USC's site. They are banhappy towards anyone that disagrees with a member of their site and have probably been complained about on more than several occasions.

To conclude, if you're a mod, you are supposed to hold yourself to a higher standard of conduct when talking to customers. Those snotty little pissants don't act in such a way. To be honest, I'm surprised that some of them still have jobs as board moderators. I'm not saying all of your mods are bad, but there have been several displays of poor conduct from at least a few of your mods. A long story short, it doesn't surprise me in the least that one of them is banned. He kept pushing his agenda and someone probably got sick of having to tell him to back off. Regardless, the end result is a positive for all of us. That person had no business being a mod, especially with intolerant and degrading remarks toward people who disagree with his agenda.

First, Butte was not a mod on tBB. I know a lot a people complain about mod behavior on Michigan's site, but I give them the benefit of the doubt because there is no premium board. They do their best to keep the only Michigan board on the network troll free. I'm sure it leads to more bans than necessary, but it is better than the alternative for Michigan fans.

As for mod behavior, based on the posts of plenty of tBB mods I would say Butte was not doing anything out of the ordinary. Hell, I was banned shortly by a new mod who then went back to BN and bragged about it. Do you think that is appropriate behavior because 247 didn't have a problem with it.

I'm still waiting for Aussie or someone else to tell me why he was banned. Until that happens, everything is speculation according to Aussie.

You quite FOS, I hope you know this.

The whole premium issue was overblown, and created because of false rumors by BN posters and USC fans with their panties in a bunch.
And we ban trolls, as in accordance with our guidelines. Don't like our rules, don't visit our board. Least we allow people on our board, the Front Row is so afraid of different views, they don't even allow other visitors without them paying.

And I am not a mod on this board, so I will act as I please. Don't like it, too darn bad.
