How you liking it?
I broke down and bought it yesterday but with work and school and grad school apps I have only had about 15 min to play.
Rolled a Wizard. I'm loving the graphics and interface so far.

I like it a little too much so far, I was hooked for a few hours when the servers finally went up yesterday. I went with a Demon Hunter.
I don't know if I'm really a fan of how you aren't locked into your skill choices anymore... and either I can't find it, or the stats are entered automatically.

I could only play it 30 mins before the severs went down. I like the changes they have made so far... all for the better, IMO. Everything about it feels like classic Diablo, which is what I was hoping for. I'm sure it will be a lot of fun.

Like it a lot, getting it to run on my ulta-portable is a huge plus.. means I can play downstairs while the wife watches her reality shows.

Does anyone know how to create passworded games? As far as I can tell, it's either a private game by yourself or its a random public game. I'm used to seeing the list of games to join or being able to put a PW on for certain people.

I'm not sure can you can create a password, I think you can turn it off for public and when a friend asks to join you can either accept or decline... I could be wrong.

That is correct. you can just invite friends to a private game. no password

Anyone got a ballpark figure on how much it would cost to get a desktop that would run Diablo 3? I want this game so bad, but my 4 year old laptop won't cut it.

This is the company I got mine from. I customized mine pretty heavily, but you can get some base models for reasonable prices, plus they're the best reviewed company for hardcore gaming PCs (that don't cost >$5,000) that I could find.

Depends how high you want the graphics.. from what I hear its heavily dependent on vid card processor... I would recommend an ati 5000 or 6000 series... so like an i5, 8 gigs of ram, ati 5850, all for under $600 I would assume.
what I want is an ultrabook 13.3 notebook with a high end vid card.

Game is good but Blizzard really screwed this launch up. As far as vid cards I would recommend a GeForce 460 sc from evga. Best bang for your buck card on the market right now.

My brother in law is sending me an invitation that lets you play to the first boss. Im gonna test it on my pc. He said i can probably play it on medium settings. The game doesnt have outrageous specs.

it doesn't, I can even play on my ultraportable acer timeline.. at 800x600, all low settings and its super fluid... still looks good too.

You'll probably be alright Mountie... it doesn't seem to be all that much more demanding than D2 would have been. Graphics are definitely upgraded, but it's not like you're trying to play an FPS or anything

I'm running it on a $500 laptop with a crappy video card and an i3 processor at med/high effects.
I'm pretty sure that any desktop on the market can run this game. If you want to go cheap, pick up a computer with an AMD A8 processor. It performs normal tasks not as well as an i3/i5, but it absolutely kills Intel with graphics. It's a great, cheap solution for gaming.

My wife was a huge fan of diablo 1&2. She has a Sony vaio currently. I am thinking about surprising her with this game. I put starcraft 2 of her laptop and it was definitely laggy. I don't know how to change specs or anything, I am a console game player. Do you think it will run well enough to justify its purchase? By the way I am computer illiterate.
