Reagan did raise taxes several times.
But unlike Obama, he had to work with huge majorities of the opposition in Congress. Obama is whining about Republicans holding the house...but Reagan never had the gift of the supermajorities Obama did for the first two years of his Presidency.
Furthermore, no way Obama competes with Reagan or Clinton as far as true leadership and bipartisanship. He is much more talk than substance.

It was still partisan politics. Point being your original statement was typically broad and also incorrect. Partisan politics have been around since before the birth of the two party system.
Partisan politics seems worse now that we see it in an election year and have multiple TV networks dedicated to not only reporting on it but helping fan it's flames with commentary and biased reporting.

A report or a blog piece?
Yes the country is split but that's the result of having a radicalized incompetent President following an inept uninspired one.
The sad part is no real leaders are in sight.

I saw Fox do a big deal about this with an Obama ad with Ashley from Fresh Prince talking about his second term.
He at best will have a split Congress with at worst Republican with House and a small lead in Senate.
It is highly unlikely we see Dems take back the House.

couldnt he have done this day one of his presidency? why wait 6-7 years of you are a socialist who wants to take all the ritch peoples money? For the life of me I cant understand how anyone can believe the Obama is a muslim, Socialist rhetoric at this point. After 3 years in office the Republicans are still pulling out videos from th 80's to prove he's a socialist. If he's a socialist, wouldnt they have information from his 3 years as the President of the US that would prove it?
So now we're told that he's waiting until his 7th year in office to start his revolution. How can anyone of sound mind believe this? As of today, Obama's greatest socialist move was healthcare reform. An idea he basically stole form the Republican he'll be running against in a few months...If Im a socialist im wondering why in the world I voted for Obama after 3 years..
