Did Saban Offer Landon Collins's Mom A Job?

    Lol, looked tricked?

How's his RB career going at Bama?

1 year in 1 ring. Off to a flying start.

Kid went where we wanted to go. End of story.

Bet he goes to LSU. Oh well.

We'll see if he can live up to his Brother.

it would be hilariously funny if he did the same thing as Landon and picked Bama on TV

well if you read a yahoo article from a few days ago she said she told him she didnt want to be there. and the reason she didnt like saban was because he came in her house and talked about going to the NFL only and not about how her son could get an education. Like he was not smart enough to go to college. She felt stereotyped and I actually don't blame her for that.

I HIGHLY doubt that Saban just said that to her. He most likely did mention that, but since all Saban's players stress how he wants them to succeed outside of football I imagine he mentioned something about academics as well.

Lebron James will never be as good as Michael Jordan, thus we should get rid of his nickname, "The King".

As BamaShack said, absolutely great. Not every kid gets to be part of a Championship.

In that case, Tyler Love had a hell of a career on the OL at Bama.

Yep, he got 2 rings and partied. Got what he wanted. He didn't work as hard as he could have but was still a possible backup option.

I don't doubt that either but if thats what he started with and then she tuned him out you can't blame her for feeling that way. I mean some of her actions are ridiculous but if she felt the way she says she felt no need to bash her for that. In fact more parents should be like that when looking at their children's future even if they are a top athlete in HS.

I agree, and if it were any other parent then it would have more weight IMO but....after what she pulled on national TV I bet that is a LOAD of crap.

  • What is wrong with that lady? In the interview all she talks about is her son being able to start/play his freshman year, winning the heisman, etc. Then she says b/c he was going to redshirt that it's Alabama's criteria not her son's. WTF, he shouldn't be guaranteed a starting spot or playing time until he EARNS it. He may very well be deserving of that role but how bout let the kid go earn his PT on the practice field first. Sounds she just wants things handed to her son. "he's the #1 safety in the country". We know lady and he's going to 1 or the top teams in the country and other kids are already there putting in work to get on the field.

She is absolutely crazy. I would imagine Les had promised him a starting spot at Safety for LSU if he would commit, and momma really wanted that.

In all seriousness I do too. Really sucks that it had to happen on THE BIGGEST NIGHT of his life. Oh well, there will be a few a little bigger while he is at UA hopefully.

Definitely not the biggest night of his life.

Well if it isn't the biggest it is right up there with it. He chose where he wanted to spend the next 3-4 years of his life, and a path that could lead him to millions and def his future.

Gotta agree. What could be bigger for an 18 yo kid, unless they had a kid already?

  • The woman will say anything. On one hand, she doesn't like Saban talking about the NFL in her son's future, but then in the next breath she complains that Alabama is going to redshirt him when he could go to LSU and start right away.
