    woody and bo fought a decade for the right to lose the rose bowl. (although Michigan got screwed in the 79 rose bowl...charles white fumbled)
    2 football national titles in 40 years...and we all know about ohio states robbery of a title.
    Big 10 was relevant when ike was president...

    not at all...we haven't played y'all in 13 years...and besides...my family was good friends with bo, don canham and will perry. I spent lots of time with those men.

    I didn't argue any of the facts you provided. Instead, I provided some pretty relevant ones myself. Of course, the conclusion you drew from your facts - that the B10 is no different than the MAC or MWC - is so obviously absurd, I just assumed you meant it as hyperbole and didn't think it warranted a response. I didn't realize you actually believe it. That is sad.

    not as sad as the big ten's 2 football championships in 40 + years...especially when the sec has 6 in a row...and Bama has 6 in that time period...73,78, 79, 92, 09, 11...Sad...thank goodness the new playoff is going to be the top 4 and not conference champs...seeing how the #4 team in the sec west beat the big 10 champ 49-7 in 2010.

    Segregation is what prevented Alabama and the southern states from playing in the Rose Bowl...if simply the west coast team losing to opponents was a factor, the BIG-10 would have been dumped.

    Yep, the Big Ten went 15-5 in the first 20 meetings between the two conferences after their Rose Bowl agreement.
