  • Debate on if Nick Saban was to become the coach at your school tomorrow, how long would it take to win a National Title?

    If back at LSU, we could win at any time. The talent is there but the coaching isn't at the level that Saban would bring.

    Wow. Sorry, but the three most overrated coaches in cfb right now are Lane Kiffin, Mack Brown and Jimbo Fisher. No one consistently does less with more. No one.

    About Hoke, I think the problem was that he felt obligated to somehow do right by Denard and try to let him be the QB and the fanbase at Michigan was so hyped on Denard that they would have freaked him he would have moved him. Short term success traded for setting the program back 2 years, IMO. They looked 10 times better after the time off and a chance to get Gardner more reps in practice before the bowl. Denard was a weapon, but under center they were just too one diminsional. His speed worked against 75% of the B1G teams, but not the top 25%.

    I realize in todays world you aren't shit unless you have 4 BCS titles in your second year on the job, I just think that is a little unrealistic

    Jimbo is 31-10 in his first 3 years, won 2 division titles and an ACC title all while taking over a program that was on probation and struggling in almost every area of the program

    That is very impressive no matter how you slice it, he also just got 6 coaches that he hand picked promotions, pay raises and on the story goes

  • Depends on the school. If it's an established program, 2-3. 4+ if he has to do a total rebuild.

    His stock is freaking crazy right now. Most recruits barely know anything about college football outside of a couple big name coaches and players, let alone a bunch of HS kids who don't play the sport.
