I know I am in the minority but God those movies were awful. As a kid I liked the flashing lights and the Ewoks, but when I grew up I realized that i just do not find them very good

SW are by far my favorite movies/books/games of all time. I'm still taking it in; I hope they at least base the film one of the books that take place after the original trilogy. There are a bunch of great stories there

They are maybe the most over-rated movies ever imo, the first 3 are okay at best
The recent 3 are gayer than Transformers and Sex and the City at the same time

I love the movies, but only 4/5/6 and only those pre-Lucas messing with them. I hate the edits he did to them (so glad I have the originals still on VHS). 1/2/3 sucked. Just awful. I have a feeling 7 will suck as well.

Lucas got senile as he aged and bastardized the franchise, he'll only have what amounts to an honorary title for the new films. I'm going to hope for the best until proven otherwise.

I am a bit older, so 4 just blew me away when I saw it. Just amazing stuff for its time. 5 was easily the best movie of all of them, and it started getting a little to predictable/feel good story in the 6th one.
1 was God awful. 2 wasn't much better. 3 was decent as it got more into the darkside and it was enjoyable to see how it "happened" to me.
I'm with Bama Lives. The books that followed 6 were really good and hopefully that is the direction they take it.
I'll give Disney a chance here as like I said in another post, they can't screw it up anymore and I'm sure they can do better than the prequels for the most part.

They continued the story into books that were pretty good, IMO. Hopefully they stick somewhat to that, but I could see them going a completely different way with it as well.
