  • yes, but last time I told the story I didn't get a single response, so my thread just died quickly. That told me that nobody was interested in my story so I'm not taking the time to tell it again. Instead, I'm going back to bed....

Ever heard of sleep paralysis though? My buddy suffers from it, and his descriptions of it sound down right terrifying. It's essentially waking up and regaining consciousness, but the rest of your body and mind remain in an REM like state. Meaning you can't voluntarily move, breathing is shallow (feels like choking) and you still experience dream like hallucinations such as figures in the room at the corners of your eyes, etc. Horrible.

Happens to me regularly. Used to be scary, now it's just an annoyance.

  • A few years ago I was working 3rd shift and my dad called and told me my grandpa had died. I left work around 2:00 in the morning and went riding around just because I did not want to go home. I was upset my grandpa is one of the best people I have ever known. Anyways it was in February and it was raining and I saw someone walking down the road in the pouring rain that looked like Jesus. I am not all that religious to be honest. I come from a religious family though and my grandpa is one of the few people who lived by example of how christians are supposed to live from the way I have been taught. When it comes to supernatural or religious beliefs I am not totally sure what I believe but where I had no hope before I do have some now and if you believe God you should believe there is spirtits and also demons. That is the only time in my life I have ever seen anything like that and who knows it could had just been some random guy but it would have to be one hell of a coincidence. I was upset but I was not at the point where I was not thinking straight. It is was like a message that everything would be ok regardless of what it was.

  • No. And I think, in as non-offensive a way as possible, you're a moron if you REALLY think ghosts are real.

Think about all the crazy ish we have on camera. You're telling me not ONCE has a ghost ever been caught on camera? How many real things have never been caught on camera (pic or video) before? Can you name 5?

By no means am I trying to attack you or your beliefs...but think about what you just posted...

    A. How do you know what Jesus looked like in the first place? You basing it off of a painting from 2000 years ago?

    B. Do you know how many people out there "look like Jesus"?

It just seems like you wanted to believe you saw Jesus to help you believe he was in a better place.

  • Nope don't believe in them

I really to believe it's all a mind trick. If you go into a situation scared, i.e. going to a supposed haunted house, etc., every last noise or movement is going to convince your mind that something abnormal is happening when it really is just playing up your initial fear.

So what is your thought on this. You look in the mirror and you see your grandfather behind you. Is that your mind playing tricks on you? Also to add i wasn't on any drugs or alcohol

Lebron James will never be as good as Michael Jordan, thus we should get rid of his nickname, "The King".

It was a man dressed as Jesus from the general perspective on how he looked. It is ok to question it because I have did it myself. I was upset but ok at the same time. Of course you want to think you loved ones are in a better place but when it comes to my grandpa I had actually helped take care of him the last years of his life because he had Dementia and had been in bad health so I was ok with his death just knowing he did not have to suffer anymore. I try to believe in God and everything because it is how I was raised from a very good family but I have my doubts even after the incident.

I've had very strange experiences without fear as well, I was only stating that with fear comes a higher sensitivity towards more fear.

"The only thing to fear is fear itself".

That quote works here as well for the reasons you mentioned above. Another way of saying it might be, if you're afraid of "becoming afraid", you'll likely accomplish just that.

With that being said, I've seen a video that we set up for fun in a friends old home before we went out one night. It showed a picture moving almost 8 inches on a mantle above his fire place, as well as a door opening unassisted. That's crazy, but some might say that could be explained ( I dont agree or disagree). The cool part of the story imo is after selling the house the new owner burned it down 6 months later. I've never met him, but it would be interesting to know why he did it.

I saw a freaky movie one time about the power of the mind. People moving objects with their minds etc. Do you believe this is possible?
