I had the same issue last night and that is what Kite told me. I accidentally posted a pic with the word "fvck" in it and caught it too late. A mod on this board will have to erase the pic.

1997 Pearl High School shooter was stopped by the Assistant principal with a .45
2012 San Antonio Theater shooting. 2 days after the CN shooting a man killed his girlfriend at a diner and followed the crowd next door to a theater (they fled after he shot GF). He was shot by an off-duty cop with her concealed weapon.
1991? Anniston, AL . Robbers with guns were herding their victims into the walk in freezer at the restaurant. One man dropped 4 rounds from a legally owned and carried 45 into the chest of one of the assailants, the other one fled. Nobody was hurt (other than the dead perp).

These are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Often times if there is an armed "victim" there, the crime is stopped well short of its intended extent. The media most certainly doesn't want to talk about it (see San Antonio one after the CN for recent proof). What one of the posters was pointing out is that many of the mass shootings occur at gun free zones (schools...) and are thus free of armed victims.
