Yes. My friend has Apple TV. One of the functions of Apple TV is being able to wirelessly play music throughout your home. All you need is a wireless router. It played through his ceiling speakers and I'm not sure exactly how that was set up...or how you would set it up on a stereo...but it works wirelessly. We were at a party at his house and I connected to his wifi...he would play a song from itunes on his phone, I would play one after that with spotify from my phone. You can change the song from any room in the house...it's a pretty awesome and convenient feature.

You can also order movies and watch youtube videos and stuff with Apple TV. My friend said it was like a $100 one time cost to buy it with no monthly fee. Only other costs are if you order movies and stuff.
