Does Devin Gardner getting 1 more year help or hurt tOSU?

  • TAMUWolverine said...

He handed the ball off to a guy who got hit really hard and fumbled, therefore he sucks? AWESOME logic.

    pretty much

This is like your 10th post ITT. If I was trolliing, i certainly got you good.

But i'm not. It's pretty simple IMO. If you think Gardner is a good QB, you have intelligence comparible to a 4 year old.

The real question is, who is worse at QB? Shane or DG? Either way you're screwed, but I think it would be better for tOSU and the BIG in general if Shane was at the helm.

Better question, better passer Maxwell or Miller?

Because he played 1 bad game against OSU?

I'm curious what makes you think that he is bad?

His first 5 starts were much better than Braxton's first 5.

Murrdawg, this troll seems below you brah. Luke Roberts would not be pleased.

The name Andrew Maxwell should clear Spartan fans out of her pretty quickly.

It's funny seeing them so desperate, they are relying on calling a HS Sr., who is not even on campus, a bust. 6-6 will do that to you I guess.

lol...How did you know about Luke Roberts?

Probly Maxwell as of now. But it doesn't matter. Miller is the better player. QB in college is not like QB in the pro's. Thats why guys like Eric Crouch, Tebow, etc win Heismans b/c a QB that can run as good as Miller is just as valuable as a good passer. Miller will be (and has been considering 12-0, BIG offensive POTY, 5th in heisman) a good enough passer that it compliments his incredible running skills.

So you feel the need to bash Gardner as a passer, when he's a better passer than Miller and Maxwell?

The hell you talking about? Read my posts, I didn't compare first 5 games. I compared career completion % and average passing yards per game.

No, i feel the need to bash Gardner as a QB. He sucks at the quarterback position and all it entails. How hard is this to understand? You realize the QB does more than just pass the football right?

Edit: also, i think you're flying ahead of yourself thinking that DG is better than Miller or Maxwell at just the passing aspect.

Explain how he sucks when statistically he's better than Miller? Oh, I understand, you're just an idiot, carry on then.

lol...yeah me and everyone else who thought Miller was the BIG offensive POTY and 5th in the heisman. But you're right, DG is better. My bad. I'll change the thread title soon, you have convinced me.

    Miller
    169 yards per game
    58% completion
    1.25 Passing TD's per game
    .5 INT's per game

    Gardner
    244 yards per game
    60% completion
    2.2 Passing TD's per game
    1 INT per game

You're right, though, Miller is clearly better.

And yet, if he had signed with MSU, he'd be the second coming. Funny how that works.

Maxwell was literally supposed to be the second coming...of Cousins. That worked out well.

Honestly I think Gardner will be above average for Michigan especially against the B1G but you shouldn't really use how well he did against teams like Minnesota, Iowa and Northwestern as a barometer on how well he could perform. Yea Northwestern can put points on the board but their defense was extremely suspect the whole year. The other games he played against better competition were losses, granted Gardner did enough in the South Carolina game to win the game but the defense choked it away.

He did fine against osu for a half, and against south carolina...an OMG SEC DEFENSE.

We're talking about QB's not RB's but here

    Miller
    105 yards a game rushing
    1.08 TD's per game

    Gardner
    20.2 yards per game
    1.4 TD's per game
