    With constant Top 5 recruiting classes you'd think results would follow but they really haven't in line with FSU's expectations. I'm not sure Jimbo is the right man for the job but every coach deserves 4-5 years before you make a judgement call.

    FSU's first top 5 class in some time were freshmen last year. The talent level still is improving.

    That game worries me for FSU but I do like them a lot this year.. Just don't know about the offense yet.

    FSU does not play UVA this year unless both make the ACCCG. FSU OL was toast by that game, btw. I do credit London for coaching a great game that night.

    I do..I was there cheering on my boy Xavier Lee, Im a Gator through n through but that was one day I cheered for FSU... I went to high school with Lee at Seabreeze, he graduated in 2004 while I graduated in 2005... I hated to see how his career played out at FSU, but ill always remember him beating Saban in J-ville...

    * lose leading RB broke back in game 5
    * also lose multiple starting WRs & CB in several games

    and win only 9 games, then "no, I'd say this is unlikely".

    FYI, you probably don't realize that FSU 2011 > FSU 2010 despite the record.

    I remember that very well. I went to that abortion of a game in Jacksonville. Both teams played well defensively and were embarrassing offensively. It was also 2 National Titles ago. Bama has moved on to bigger and better things. It's time for FSU's production to match their talent. That's all I'm saying.

    You are what your record says you are. In 07' Bama lost 6 games by a td or less. At the end of the day we were still a 6 loss team. Sure, we were headed in the right direction, but they don't give out trophies for potential.

    I agree, our record says *exactly* what we were, i.e., a 9 win team that had the following injuries:
    * 6 of our most experienced 7 OL,
    * the starting QB for 7 quarters in 3 games (and lost all 3 games),
    * the leading RB broke back in game 5
    * multiple starting WRs & CB in several games.

    So the important question is: was this a good team? I'd say yes, e.g., even with the improbably # of injuries, we still beat UF, ND, etc.

    And the most important question: with the 2011 team returning 18 starters, how good does FSU 2012 *project* to be?
