Does Rutgers actually bring in NJ/NYC viewers?

  • You are correct. If you add up the fans of all the B1G fans in nj there is probably more than Ruetgers. Not all B1G teams are on the network every weekend. So if a OSU game isnt available in jersey, the OSU fans call and complain. There is only a tenth as many OSU fans in the region. But if Ruetgers isn't on, that is ten times as many complaints.

    No, you still don't get it. Rutgers could have literally 1 fan and it would not matter. Fox/B1G is using YES to leverage getting the BTN in NYC. The only reason they can do that is because Rutgers (Northern NJ) is in NYC's media market and people there do not want to miss out on 80 Yankee games (YES network, which FOX owns).
