Does Te'o really deserve the Heisman?

  • Serious question. If he didn't play for ND would he have been invited to NY? Let's say he played for another team without the media hype/attention/coverage/whatever that ND gets and puts up those numbers. Would he be a Heisman candidate then?

    No - the point of the thread is to express hate and jealousy at a kid that nobody on this board knows personally. That and the unfounded hate for ND.

    I laugh because guys who have played at Te'o's level and have an established understanding of the sport have already awarded the kid 4 elite awards - but on this board you got guys who sit up all night playing Black Ops and Halo sitting in their bedroom at mom or dad's house (most on here from a broken home clearly) pass judgement that is clearly biased and ignorant.

    But who cares - if Te'o being named a finalist for the Heisman gets you all worked up and pissed - take a vacation, life is too short.

  • Gotta love the rational of the haters. Te'o won the Nagurski, Butkus, and Lombardi Awards simply because he is from ND. Had nothing to do with how good of a player he is. I guess he is considered the 1st or 2nd linebacker in the draft because he plays for ND as well.

    USMC, you really shouldn't be calling anyone out over getting "all worked up and pissed" after your classless display yesterday. Since you feel the need to try and call me out I guess you have something you can link showing where I have said anything bad about Manziel? We both know it is just another case of you making crap up again.

    I don't think anyone hates Te'o. He just shouldn't be a Heisman winner. I'm sure he is a good dude, but he isn't the most dominate player in college football.

  • I think Te'o is a great person and a great linebacker. But if he wins the Heisman it is a joke. Manziel's numbers have been awesome AND he took down the great Alabama. That's the definition of a Heisman moment. Notre Dame has caught some lucky breaks to be undefeated at this point. I think with their level of schedule they have earned the right to be in the national championship. They just needed a good amount of luck to get there without any losses.
