Does anybody know the record for consecutive Heisman finalists?

I imagine it's held by Ohio State, Notre Dame or USC; I'm just curious about the number of years.

It's not going to be ND or tOSU. They didn't even start naming finalists like they do now until the 80s or so.
Could be Florida just for Tebow having 3 in a row.

Yes, but I am pretty sure the Herschel year was the first time they brought multiple players to NY for a ceremony. It used to be a press conference that the schools held in which the award was presented so you wouldn't really know who the finalists are. Even some years after Herschel won they didn't do it like that either. Ty Detmer got his in Hawaii at a before a football game as they had a game on the day they presented him the trophy.
In past years, they've had as few as 3 and as many as 6 that have been invited at a time to NY so it's not even like the Outland or something like that where 3 official finalists are named.
