Does the type of steak you eat describe you as a man?

  • Medium rare.

  • I found a cut called "chuck eye steak". It is tender, well marbled, grills great and is only about 6.00 a pound
    Medium-medium/rare

Chuck eye's are a great steak to grill yourself when you don't wanna break the bank. I don't think it stands up to Ribeye, Porterhouse, and others in terms of quality and taste, but its tough to beat for the price.

My ideal steak is a Ribeye on the rarer side of medium-rare. I like it bloody on the inside, but its gotta be charred good on the outside.

It says something, but who the fvck is qualified to de-cipher it?

I like a Strip somewhere between rare and medium rare; somebody else likes a Porterhouse medium rare; the next guy likes a Rib-Eye Pittsburgh; the other dude likes a filet medium.

Who the hell knows what it all means?

I know the guy that likes his filet medium is a doosh

Filet = sissy boy or wife/gf's leftovers

Sirloin, Flank = lol you're poor

So all real men can afford to eat $10+/pound steak every time? Tbone is my favorite but can't afford it every time. I eat flat irons in the summer a lot when I grill once a week

Fish and Steak do not need any sauce. The meat itself is all the flavor needed if seasoned and cooked correctly.

Actually had some salmon tonight. It was f**k your mother good.

    I don't know.

My go to steak is a T-Bone (inch and a half thick) cooked medium rare from a local butcher.

This, nothing beats a good T-bone

  • Honestly I don't eat steaks a whole lot. Has more to do with my lifestyle and back account than my choosing though. If I want to spend that type of money on food I usually go with a filet. If I'm around the beach during good fishing seasons I'm always going to get the fresh seafood over anything else.

I don't eat steak a whole ton either which is why the cut seems a little irrelevant I guess.

I might grill a good steak once every couple of weeks and that is about it. If I ate it every day, it wouldn't have the same luster to me personally.

  • First, a man's steak shouldn't be anything less than about 16 oz, unless it's a filet, and then you're a woman. After that, it should be a ribeye, preferably bone-in, no warmer than medium rare or rare plus. When it comes to steaks, order like a damn man or try the veal you fairy.

    Well as I previously stated, I prefer a T-Bone.

You calling me a fairy because I don't like the cut that you do?

    Yes.

Whenever I hear people up here in Yankee land order a steak well done and asks for steak sauce, my ears start to bleed.

I don't really care what type of steak you order, but have the decency to order it medium rare.

  • You're probably a fairy, yes, but not because you order T-bones. But it should be a ribeye. Look, Ratt ... I'm not always gonna be here to help you with this stuff. T-bone's a tougher cut of meat. Thought everyone knew this? shrug

    lol touche

Still never been a huge ribeye fan. I know fat is flavor and all, but ribeye's just have too much fat for my liking. I like the T-Bone because you get the flavor from the bone and don't have to deal with all the damn gristle. Plus you get two cuts in one steak.

If you are talking about all tenderness, then why not a filet? That is a lot more tender than a ribeye. You are contradicting yourself homeslice.
