It's sad really. I don't know whether to vomit or feel bad for her. I'm sorry but she has to be mentally retarded to have not known about any of this, especially since some of the victims said that some of the abuse happened in their actual home.

I get that she loves him and all but he is 'exactly what they say he is' and probably far worse. I don't believe for a second that this all started in 98. My guess is that it began happening, at a lesser extent, when he was in his mid 20's or so. Pedophiles just don't start this stuff out of the blue. It usually begins way earlier but I'm assuming that he didn't have the access that he did in his later life to the amount of kids that he had from 98 on.

That is what makes Paterno turning his eyes on what was going on that much worse. Once Sandusky knew that Penn State wasn't going to turn him in, it gave him, in his own eyes, the freedom to pursue his sick fvcking twisted wishes with more freedom and less fear of being caught.

I remember hearing that when his wife initially heard the accusations from the victims that she buried her face in her hands and was actually pissed at him. Can't remember where exactly I heard that, I think it was the sentence date and it was on a news station, but she still loves him for better or worse I guess. He will get his in prison one way or another though.

He better hope that they send him to a federal prison because it will be worse in a PA state prison. Especially with all the sanctions that Penn State just got due to this whole thing. There are going to be a lot of Penn State fans in any PA prison and he will pay the price for ruining a team that they love behind bars. There isn't a whole lot that you can hold onto in prison and he probably just ruined a big part of what they root for. I would say 80% of the people that are serving long term sentences aren't going to be able to root for a winning team for their foreseeable future if ever again.

    I agree...

He better do something to be put in solitude from day one because genpops don't like chomo's... and they hate chomos who raped their university too.

He'll never see genpop but he can still get caught up to even in solitary wings. Not to mention that there will be prison guards that were huge Penn State fans that can easily make it possible.

The Paterno family should have shut the fvck up a long time ago. If they want to pay for their own investigation that is up to them, but I would think that by now they would have figured out that everytime they come out with these statements this soon to the release of the Freeh report, with no evidence to refute it, is just making it worse and worse for them.

It's safer than genpop, by far, but you can still get shanked in solitary quite easily. Especially a chomo with his stature. Whomever sticks him will be a hero behind those walls.

Most chomo's go to solitary anyway if there case is known, or when it's found out, and Sandusky will never see a genpop unit.

He would initially but they wouldn't keep him on suicide watch after a certain amount of time unless he kept threatening to actually kill himself. Suicide watch would make his time even worse than just dying anyway. They wouldn't allow him commisary, a television and wouldn't allow him blankets and so forth. He would basically be stuck in a bare cell with a cement bed. At least that is how they did that in Michigan City from what I heard. They can't give you blankets for fear of strangling yourself and any other immenities for the same reason. The more that you have in your cell increases the chance you may find a way to pull it off.

Not to mention I heard that they basically freeze the hell out of you to keep your mind confused from figuring out ways to do it. Imagine being in a drunk tank for years on end. Fvck that. They might as well just kill me.

Don't ever feel sorry for her or anyone that allows harm on children.

If I was a father of one of the young victims. I'd kill everyone associated with that university and this situation.

I hope they all seek million upon millions from that place.

I just don't know if she actually did know or not. Trust me that I'm as brutal as it comes to those associated with child molestation more than anything else on the planet. I can deal with murder a lot easier than something like that. I honestly just don't know if she had a clue or what was going on with her.

If someone molested my boy you would never see me as a free man either. There would be hell to pay.

Also, all of those victims will get millions and millions I'm sure. I'm also pretty sure that the NCAA knew that lawsuits would be coming and would be won by the victims, which is more than likely why they had that 60 million dollar fine go to a charity instead of the victims themselves. I think I saw on the ESPN bottomline that the 2001 victim that Mcquery witnessed just filed his civil suit. I'm sure all of them will shortly follow.

I honestly feel bad for your fanbase, students and alumni that had no idea. I have actually heard, even back in November, that it was no shocker that when Sandusky got in trouble that this was probably what it was about.

I honestly want to know how many of the PSU crowd actually had suspicions of something like this going on. I ask because I think when it first came out, before anyone ever knew that it was a child molestation case, that I was told by a poster from another Big 10 team that lived in PA that this wasn't exactly a secret in that community and more than likely what the case was going to be about.

Sure enough two days later was when the first reports of the McQuery incident showed and I think another one where Sandusky was caught lying on top of a high school wrestler in the high school locker room by the kids wrestling coach and he wasn't allowed back at that high school.

People weren't surprised because Sara Ganim wrote an article about it all in March 2011, but nobody outside of PSU paid any attention to it while we were all blindsided and had no idea what Sandusky being a pedo actually meant (we figured he just did it on his own time).

Some say they had suspicions before, but I didn't, and I had a few internships in the AD (not that an intern would be in the know, but just saying I was paying close attention to the program and had no idea).

This was certainly a secret. I've heard some Pitt and OSU fans say it was well known, but that's news to me. I think that's crazy, but I'm not from State College, so I don't know whatever whispers go on in the town. I only spent my four years there ('06-'10).

Thanks for the honest answer and I actually do believe that it was an OSU fan that said it was what it was going to be about. That was back on Rivals though and can't remember who. When he said it, I just kind of shrugged it off as BS but whomever it was had it right. He didn't say anything about how far it went but stated that something was fishy about Sandusky and kids.

Not that you have anything else to really worry about at this point but what are you guys hearing about the ramped up talks about that DA in 98 and the possible child porn ring thing that has been talked about a few days ago? It could all be BS for all I know but it seems to be catching steam.

Don't know about you but I wouldn't stand by if I learned my son was raped repeatedly and grown men and women covered it up. All the while spewing utter BS about being the class of sports. Joe Pa had us all fooled. He had me. But deep down he was nothing more than a safe haven for a child rapist. He's answering for that deed now.

If it was my son, I don't know how I'd react. But I'd probably keep a level enough head to keep myself out of prison because I sure as hell won't be doing him any good in there. I'd do as much as I could within the law to get the man killed, but that won't fix anything. Doesn't take anything back.

And about Joe. Honestly? That's not your call, but you're entitled to your opinion so I'm not gonna get riled up.
