Tackle machine is a gross overstatement considering that he wasn't even in the top 10 in tackles last year. Ryan may be in the backfield every play, but somehow only had 2 sacks to show for it. Besides, my point was referring to the incoming freshman anyways; brush up on that reading comp junior.

94 tackles isn't bad, but falls pretty short of a tackling machine (like Greg Jones was); watch the hyperbole there son. Besides, somebody HAS to lead the team right?
Ryan had 11 TFL last year, leaving him outside the conference top 10. I'm more intrigued though, how he can spend every play in the opponent's backfield, yet only come away with 2 sacks and 11 TFL? You weren't stretching the truth again there were you?

It's only funny because if he was a U of M or Notre Dame lean there would have already been a 3 week long sausage fest on this forum talking about how great your team is going to be some day. That's pretty much the sole reason I made the thread. Call it a social experiment, but I was curious to see what kind of bitter responses would come from the teams that rely on recruiting to feel good about mediocrity in recent history.

The same reason we offered Anzalone and O' Daniel and then told them not to visit.
You have to have back up plans. Something that Dantonio apparently isn't aware of judging by the way he's handled his OL recruiting so far.
We got 2 of our top 3 targets though, (Levenberry being the one that got away) So we are set at LB after taking 4 last year.
About Madaris... we backed off on him for a while, and went after Chesson and Darboh. Then started showing some interest after Stonum was dismissed, but the staff never seemed to really go after him that hard.
I like Madaris on a prospect too, so I think he'll be solid in college, but let's not act like Dantonio really went head to head and won here.

I just don't understand how so many of you Michigan fans can repeatedly claim that you know these facts as if they are definitive. The only definitive fact is that you DO NOT know what you're are talking about and just continue rambling on as a slave to group think. It's a message board so I'm not expecting much better, but please don't spread baseless conjecture just because you read it from one of your cronies over on the Michigan forum.
The fact of the matter is it could be right and it could be wrong, but until Brady Hoke comes out and confirms what you're saying is actually correct, it just makes your entire fan base appear arrogant and mindless (and I'm sure many others don't appreciate it).

So a completely different player suffices? Regardless, if a player was given an offer, the team wanted him. What if they actually wanted this kid instead of one of the linebackers that committed? They still are full and have to stop recruiting him. That doesn't mean he wasn't more than adequate.
