Gotcha. I've heard of him, but didn't recognize him by the picture. I thought it was G-RobIII for a minute and was very concerned.

lol GR3’s athletic but not that athletic.

Well Demens is a tackle machine and Ryan is pretty much in the backfield on every play. So pretty good.

Tackle machine is a gross overstatement considering that he wasn't even in the top 10 in tackles last year. Ryan may be in the backfield every play, but somehow only had 2 sacks to show for it. Besides, my point was referring to the incoming freshman anyways; brush up on that reading comp junior.

94 tackles isn't bad, most on the team. Jake Ryan had 2 sacks, but also had 13 TFL out of his 37 tackles.

94 tackles isn't bad, but falls pretty short of a tackling machine (like Greg Jones was); watch the hyperbole there son. Besides, somebody HAS to lead the team right?

Ryan had 11 TFL last year, leaving him outside the conference top 10. I'm more intrigued though, how he can spend every play in the opponent's backfield, yet only come away with 2 sacks and 11 TFL? You weren't stretching the truth again there were you?

Just because he is in the backfield on every play, doesn't mean he has the stats to show for it.

Your opinion means nothing to me. I was simply trying to show young Manny that exaggerating to such a degree is a bad quality; Demens and Ryan are perhaps above average B10 defensive players, nothing more.

Are you one of those guys who get offended at the fact that Taylor Lewan owned Will Gholston last season?

Then why did he offer him?

The same reason we offered Anzalone and O' Daniel and then told them not to visit.

You have to have back up plans. Something that Dantonio apparently isn't aware of judging by the way he's handled his OL recruiting so far.

We got 2 of our top 3 targets though, (Levenberry being the one that got away) So we are set at LB after taking 4 last year.

About Madaris... we backed off on him for a while, and went after Chesson and Darboh. Then started showing some interest after Stonum was dismissed, but the staff never seemed to really go after him that hard.

I like Madaris on a prospect too, so I think he'll be solid in college, but let's not act like Dantonio really went head to head and won here.

It's only funny because if he was a U of M or Notre Dame lean there would have already been a 3 week long sausage fest on this forum talking about how great your team is going to be some day. That's pretty much the sole reason I made the thread. Call it a social experiment, but I was curious to see what kind of bitter responses would come from the teams that rely on recruiting to feel good about mediocrity in recent history.

Your explanation was the biggest pile of $hit I've heard in a long time, nice try.clap 31-13 ring a bell?

I just don't understand how so many of you Michigan fans can repeatedly claim that you know these facts as if they are definitive. The only definitive fact is that you DO NOT know what you're are talking about and just continue rambling on as a slave to group think. It's a message board so I'm not expecting much better, but please don't spread baseless conjecture just because you read it from one of your cronies over on the Michigan forum.

The fact of the matter is it could be right and it could be wrong, but until Brady Hoke comes out and confirms what you're saying is actually correct, it just makes your entire fan base appear arrogant and mindless (and I'm sure many others don't appreciate it).

I won't humor this with a personal attack, but frankly, I would be hesitant playing that game with your recent, limited success.

I know you won't like the site, but if you scroll down it has the tweet where Dorian O'Daniel said he cancelled his Michigan visit. I would like to link the tweet, but I'm not going through three months of his tweets just to find it. They could have visited, but they were told not to because they were full at LB.

  • So a completely different player suffices? Regardless, if a player was given an offer, the team wanted him. What if they actually wanted this kid instead of one of the linebackers that committed? They still are full and have to stop recruiting him. That doesn't mean he wasn't more than adequate.

    Michigan trip cancelled!

Those are from the kid himself. UM was the leader, but we had more of a need at Sam/Mike and already had McCray in the fold, had a feeling about Gedeon, and still had a shot with Levenberry (who was our #1 target, and the only way we would take 3 LBs)

Anzalone was public knowledge that UM told him they were full. They are forthright with kids and don't want to see them spend their own money to come visit when they don't have a spot for them.

Shane Jones... again projects as a WILL. We took Ross and RJS and are set at WILL. Believe what you want but the writing is on the wall. Yes they offered him, they also offered guys like Zach Bradshaw, and Kalambayi who showed interest, but we never pursued heavily.
