    Those are from the kid himself. UM was the leader, but we had more of a need at Sam/Mike and already had McCray in the fold, had a feeling about Gedeon, and still had a shot with Levenberry (who was our #1 target, and the only way we would take 3 LBs)

    Anzalone was public knowledge that UM told him they were full. They are forthright with kids and don't want to see them spend their own money to come visit when they don't have a spot for them.

    Shane Jones... again projects as a WILL. We took Ross and RJS and are set at WILL. Believe what you want but the writing is on the wall. Yes they offered him, they also offered guys like Zach Bradshaw, and Kalambayi who showed interest, but we never pursued heavily.

    Just because he doesn't have elite size for his position doesn't mean he can't be a special basketball player as well. You're really talking a matter of two inches between a 6'4" SG and a 6'6" SG. Those two inches really don't matter on the court. Its much more about length, lateral quickness, and just basketball skill in general. You're being way too black and white about this to just say well he's got great size for football and average size in basketball. It's much more about which sport maximizes his athletic skills.

    Actually basketball is the much safer pick for him both literally and figuratively. Basketball talent translates from one level to the next much more accurately than football. If he's a top player in the country in basketball, there's a very small chance he wont succeed on the next level. Where as in football we rave over these recruits that are top 10 in the country when on average 3 of them will never pan out.

    Your opinion means nothing to me. I was simply trying to show young Manny that exaggerating to such a degree is a bad quality; Demens and Ryan are perhaps above average B10 defensive players, nothing more.

    fingergun Jake Ryan is a very good player. You'll hear that from a fan of any big ten team we play.

    So a completely different player suffices? Regardless, if a player was given an offer, the team wanted him. What if they actually wanted this kid instead of one of the linebackers that committed? They still are full and have to stop recruiting him. That doesn't mean he wasn't more than adequate.

    You can't take everyone you offer at your position.

    Andrew Wiggin’s. He’s a 2014/13 G/F out of Toronto. Although he play’s his prep ball in WV. Many believe he is the best prospect since LBJ. Kid’s a freak athlete. His Dad was a former NBA player, and his mom was an Olympic athlete in track. Most believe it’s going to be a UK and FSU battle for him.
