Ducks want Bama...

  • The news station here in Hawaii said they were getting numerous texts and calls from Oregon fans mad they weren't playing in the game tonight.

Do Oregon fans on here really wish they would've gone up against Bama? Be real with it son...

  • Are you talking about the same Ducks that lost to Stanford that ND beat?

  • Oregon fans should be mad. I would be... But the real question is: Why the hell are Oregon fans calling a news station to complain?

No idea. Why should they be mad?

  • They shouldn't have fvcking lost to Stanford. Had they taken care of business, it would have been them spanking ND tonight.

    They shouldn't.

Just because of this thread, I'm going to punch the next person that wears an Oregon T-shirt that I come across. Man, woman or child.

I apologize ahead of time, but it's on their own fanbase. Shouldn't talk smack.

    They wouldn't have spanked ND.

ND and Stanford are basically the same team.

I think UO would have killed that team.

I have no reason I guess to think that, but I still think UO would have killed them. Honestly, I think A&M would have been our biggest competition in the country.

I know they beat us at home, but that was after our game with LSU. We were BEAT UP after that game. I would have loved to see that game with both teams healthy.

I disagree, congrats by the way.

ND/Oregon would've been a good gm. I probably would still favor ND in that gm.

And to the aTm point, what does the LSU gm have to do with anything?

aTm played their schedule, with Bama on it, w/o a bye week. They were coming off of LSU, Auburn (away), and MSU away, and Bama was their 3rd straight away gm.

Nobody would've beat Bama's OL last night, though.

That's right and bama shouldn't have lost to aTm....o wait that's right it's ok to lose a game or two as long as it is to a SEC team tha will finish ranked behind the team the ducks lost to.

  • Oregon couldn't even put up 20 on a mediocre Auburn defense. What makes them think they can play with Bama?

    rwhite4ua

  • 2 different teams, Darron Thomas is selling used cars somewhere Mariota is better as a freshman then he was as a jr.. Still think bama would win but it would be closer then what ND showed..

  • Oregon was the 2nd best team in the country, ND's soft schedule screwed them over.

  • I'm not so sure that at the end of this season, the 2nd best team in the country isn't TAAMU/UO as 2a/2b.

Still deserved it more than Bama.

Took a missed 35 yarder from Pitt, 6 turnovers from Michigan, a blown no TD call against Stanford, and a Matt Barkely injury for ND to get there.

  • I def think that Oregon would have been a much tougher matchup. If you look at Standford or early int he KS game before they wore down a stout D can really slow them down. I think that Bama has the depth that KS doesnt and better athletes on the 2nd level then Stanford so would be good to watch but still think Bama wins....It would not have been a blowout at all like ND game

lol that was two years ago. Tell me, how many times bama has won against Oregon?

    hillbillyzombie

  • Also just a quick note I don't think anyone was going to hang with bama the way they played last night but we will never know who would have won between bama and Oregon.

It's the layoff rule. When saban has all summer or bowl season to prepare, don't even show up

True saban is one of if not the best coach when you give him time to prepare.

  • The best two teams are Oregon and Bama. I don't think we would've had much of a shot in the current system, but with the playoff and Bama only having a week or so to prep, Oregon could beat them on the right night. People are making too big of a deal out of the Stanford game. I honestly think Oregon just had an off night. Just like Bama had a bad day against A&M (A&M deserves credit for that though, as does furd) and ND had a bad game against Pitt. Most teams have at least one a year. ND was just fortunate to find a way to win that day and they deserved a spot in Miami. The BCS didn't pick the wrong team, it's just a bad system.

On a related note, in 4 of the past 12 years, the losing team of the Stanford-Oregon game has been held out of the title game because of that loss. That's crazy.

I just can't see how your lines on both sides of the ball wouldn't get absolutely manhandled all night.

I mean we ran the ball right down your throat and our O Line was straight garbage.

How in the hell could you guys stop Bama's running game when ND was getting gashed? Their front seven was much much better than yours.

We're mad cause had we won that game I have little doubt we would have won our first national championship.

Fvck no I don't wish we would have gone against Bama though.
