Dwight Howard

  • Willing to leave the Lakers. lol this dude enjoys this BS.

Dwight Howard might be willing to leave Lakers in free agency this summer in pursuit of a championship | Ball Don't Lie - Yahoo! Sports

From the blog Ball Don't Lie: After dropping a 113-103 contest on their home floor to the Orlando Magic on Sunday night, the Los Angeles Lakers now sit at 8-9, in third place in a Pacific Division they've topped for five straight seasons, and in the … Continue reading →

  • lol @ the NBA. No pride anymore, no team pride, no comradery... Just a bunch of drama queens looking for the easiest path and the most attention they can garner.

Reggie Miller never left the Pacers to find a championship. He worked his ass off for Indiana his entire career, and loved the city of Indy, and they loved him for staying loyal. Patrick Ewing never looked to be traded to the Bulls to play with Jordan. He was a Knick until the end, and tried his ass off to dethrone the bulls.

God I miss the NBA. The REAL NBA. I would look forward to the Knicks vs. Heat just because of the passion that went into that game. Even in the regular season. Now its just a bunch of thrown together stars that don't give a damn until the playoffs.

We had Bynum for seven seasons. I'm almost positive Kupchak and co. can handle whatever baggage Dwight brings.

  • Tired of these players leaving to go get a ring. New Orleans has the most cap in the NBA, when The Brow and Eric Gordon come back, team will be legit... But Dwight has to big of an ego to come here.

Lol, Tom Benson is a fantastic owner, gtfo of here.He spends money, brought a superbowl to the friggin' Saints and is building a nice basketball team.. Hornets were just in game 7 to get to the WCF a few years ago but lost to the Spurs and have a lot of good, young talent with a great Head Coach and a very good GM. I doubt you know much, if anything, about the Hornets/Pelicans

    Great NFL owner.

NBA not so much. He already has embarrassed the league big time with this Pelicans crap.

And yes Les I know plenty about the Pelicans. I know Austin Rivers at #10 was lulz worthy, I know Eric Gordon wants out of there, and I know if I was Anthony Davis I'd be on the first train out of there.

Also congrats on the Western Conference Finals after you hit the lottery on CP3. He also bailed on you guys, only a matter of time before Gordon and Davis eventually follow suit.

Gordon has another 4 years.. No indication that Davis is leaving.. This is Benson's first NBA season so how can you say he's a bad owner? Hornets have a TON of cap room and can add another max player in the offseason.. If you add an All-Star with this cap to go with AD, Gordon and Ryan Anderson.. Pelicans will be a solid team for sure.

I dont see why a team name makes you a bad owner or has anything to do with anything on the court but whatever.. CP3 had every right to leave. No one was sure if NO would stay in NO but now they're guaranteed to stay for a long time.. When CP3 was here, we had TERRIBLE owners and coaches, not so much anymore.

Think what you want but if they pick up another Max player, there's absolutely no doubt this team will be very solid next season.. Also the 2nd youngest team in the NBA.

Yeh but they aren't picking up a good max player. Eric Gordon never ever plays, the guy has been cleared medically according to some and is just too pussy to play. He wants out, he said that, and his actions keep backing that up.

Also LULZ at Ryan Anderson. Big white men who can shoot are a dime a dozen, sure he can rebound a bit but his defense is still terrible. Imagine him on the floor against the Heat or the Lakers in a playoff series lol

    mriderblue12

  • There is no true free agency in the NBA anymore because of the Bird rights so the Lakers will just sign and trade him somewhere else if he wants a max deal which he will.

Fine with me IMO. This team is too old, unathletic and has no bench. Swap him for some pieces and rebuild.

Shows how much you know. Anderson has been a friggin' BEAST this season and he's only 24. He's averaging 18 points and 8 rebounds a game, almost impossible to guard at his size and great shooting, this team needs O and he brings it every night for sure... Lakers in a playoff series? lulz, Pau is going to guard Anderson? pshh yeah right.

It doesn't matter if Gordon wants out, he's stuck for 4 years and he'll be back playing by the middle or end of this month.

Anyways, we're not going to agree so we'll just have to wait and see...

Are Lakers fans finally coming to this realization. I've been saying this since they picked up Dwight.

The NBA finals was all about athletic basketball.

  • Remember the Heat were 8-9 in their first season to start the year.. The Lakers have the talent but probably one of the worst bench in the league.

That's one guy....engine needs a piston....Nash will right the wrong and keep hack a Dwight out of late games with big deficits.

Nash is 38 with a bad back and a broken leg.....

Probably shouldn't call him the savior IMO.

I don't know about other Lakers fans but I haven't been happy at all this season. Kobe is old and his max contract that was signed before the new CBA is weighing this team down and is one of the reasons that we can't build a bench. Pau is also overpaid at this point and isn't being used well at all in this system. Dwight hasn't been too bad, but he sucks at free throws and you can tell he is getting upset with the LA media constantly asking about them. Nash is old and injured and anyone who thought he would be back in one week was blind as many doctors that I hear on the radio all said 6 weeks minimum.

I don't think that D'antoni is a bad coach, but he is not the coach for this team. I don't think Phil would have been either, but his system would have used a core of Kobe-Pau-Dwight instead of Nash-Kobe-Dwight.
