At first I questioned, who, if anyone would rank UNDERGRAD criminal justice programs. I looked online and apparently some people do, but.....contrary to your belief..... FSU doesn't factor in there.
He would be much better off going to Maryland than FSU, if the criminal justice program was a big consideration.

FSU: #1 Program, #1 professor in the nation for Criminology.
"Florida State University's College of Criminology and Criminal Justice receives top national rankings in scholarly productivity, grants, and student success by the Journal of Criminal Justice Education. Leading the pack is professor Alex Piquero, who received the 2011 Academy Fellow Award from the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences."
Edit: Those are 2011 rankings but you get the point.

Yeah, maybe I worded that wrong. I was going off his initial ranking on here to where he's slid to. I think he's good, too. Top 300 players in the nation are all good, iyam. Still takes the heat off of the FSU Daniel McMillian chase.
FSU Football. Making cool the new swag since 2013.

The point is that FSU criminology professors churn out a lot of articles. Not that they are good teachers or even that the articles are important. I guess FSU wins the award for self-promotion and typing by their criminology professors.
I would still go on the program ranked the best for students.

Agreed. Sounds like some UMD butthurt to me. Even if he picks FSU, I wish him nothing but the best, he sure seemed like a really good kid.
Just because you live near an area, doesn't mean you know anything about a particular family or kid. So just go ahead and keep making crap up based on quotes in recruiting articles, that everyone in the country can read, then claim you know better because of where you live.

what you don't get is people at MD don't expect to get high caliber kids and we could care less about one kid or another. Its great when they do decide for UMD but if not oh well. I have a life that doesnt revolve around the kids decision. I was just providing some insight from things that People who know people know. Stick to telling me how I am wrong if I talk about a kid from your neck of the woods, otherwise unless I am totally bashing someone which I wasn't maybe stop and listen and stop letting your homerific Bias's come into play.

2009: FSU ranked #7 nationally by USNEWS (http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-humanities-schools/criminology-rankings)
Here's another list, unranked, of top schools (FSU included)
Point being FSU is one of the top Criminal Justice/Criminology schools nationally. It's not that hard, you google it and FSU is all over as being highly ranked.
Stop being such a little prick and admit that FSU is a top criminology school annually.

Butthurt IMO. Levenberry cut UMD because the new staff didn't contact him whatsoever, not because they didn't speak to him during a dead period. Don't let insideMD get it confused. Also you say he's a bad kid, every other person says he isn't. He's handled the recruitment with class, and if he wanted respect or attention he wouldn't be deciding in April.
You just sound like a butthurt fool.

You called him a prima donna who will probably transfer at least once. Then the only things you used to support this notion were quotes from Levenberry's father, which were available for everybody in the country to read.
I refuted your claim with a personal experience that I had actually talking to the person in question.
So what other insight do you have? Who are these "people who know people". Please , do tell. Otherwise, you just come off as a BS pushing, jealous, wanna be.

yea a guy in Michigan would know better than people who are paid to cover local sports.
We probably end up getting Marcus Newby and Micah Kiser both better IMO than Levenberry. We haven't thought about levenberry in 6 or 7 months.
