Also, I hope for all you Michigan fans' sake that your incredible fumble recovery and "dying quail jump ball into double team" luck continues on next year.

    Me too. cheers

Its funny that FSU had at least a top 2 OL class in 2011, but we have no OL depth and get no top tier OL commits.

    What ?

That class hasn't proven dick and the 09' and 10' classes were the biggest jokes I have ever seen, are actually saying otherwise ?

Our true freshman OL class hasn't proven dick? THE HORROR. Usually those guys just step right in and dominate! I seem to remember 17 year old Bobby Hart learning on the fly and playing admirably. And I believe Tre Jackson and Matias both played in the Champs Bowl and by the second half were performing quite well. 09 and 10 were under-recruited yet we had some terrible luck with transfers because of ill family members and heart conditions. However, to say that our class from 2011 was not stellar and deride it for having not "proved itself" is both silly and patently false.

    Oh really

Saying a group of freshman haven't proven shit isn't the truth ? sure sounds like the truth to me

As for how great that class was meh, we shall see

And those are some hilarious excuses for all the kids that have told Trick Daddy " no thanks " in just 4 years, the list is literally a mile long

roflmao at " playing admirably " as well...... I want better than 17 year olds that play admirably, in fact I demand better at FSU

Got any more excuses for me ?

Was the 2012 class awesome too ? I loved how we missed on every single high school kid we offered..... that was tight as hell right dude ?

You Trickett supporters can burn in hell for all I care, I have had enough of you idiots

Point out to me any True freshman OL that has played for a BCS level school that has not been completely manhandled. True freshman linemen just don't step in from HS and play right away. If you can't see or understand that, then I don't know what to say.

As for this year's class, we got two JUCOs that can step in immediately and/or offer functional depth. Have you looked at the depth chart? We didn't have a great need at OL. Are you mad that we struck out with Theus because UGA gave his brother a scholarship as a long snapper? Lets try to get your expectations a little more in line with reality.

Step in right away huh.... just like Fahrenkrug ? Im praying everyday they contribute more than that bust

Try to get my expectations in line with reality ? lmao, yes how dare I expect to land one kid from the high school ranks, or better yet.... a kid that was born on american soil.... Im clearly out of line here roflmao

How bout I point out good OL's who don't need to play true freshman cause they don't recruit like a bunch of retarded assholes

I also love how Glauser and Watson haven't been seen in uniform yet and you are certain they can contribute already, standard FSU poster you are

Did I not address the fact that we underrecruited in the past? Couple that with some hard luck transfers and medical DQs and you don't have a recipe for success. You said that we never get any top OL recruits. Our 2011 class was ranked very highly and when pressed into action, it performed well. However, you seem to think we can't recruit OLs and that our 2011 class hasn't proven anything. Stick with the insults and cute emoticons though, they suit you.

How many more LBs are you guys taking?

3 to 4 of them, most likely. We need them badly (graduation and med DQ hit us hard) and would probably sacrifice a schol at another position to get a top tier LB, like EJ.

EJ definitely has a place at FSU, if he so chooses. He would be a great, great addition.

lol that comment was a sarcastic joke, and cause you are a newbie it went over your head

I never said we never get top tier OL either, I said I would never predict that one comes to FSU ( a light hearted joke at my hatred of Trickett )

LMAO at when pressed into action they played well, no they didn't..... they played like pure garbage

And again, the 2011 class hasn't proven anything, they have been around one season.... most haven't seen the field and the ones that did were part of the worst OL I have seen at FSU in over a quarter century

  • Novanoles will not be positive about our OL but we really do have every reason to believe it could be a true turnaround situation. We don't play a really good DL overall nor a big time individual DLeinman until VT in game like 9.

We get two straight warm up games and then wake has that 5'11 275 NT that's pretty darn good but overall they run a small, average 3-4 defense.

Clemson has the worst DL they've had in 6-7 years and the weakest it will be I bet for another 6-7 years. It's terrible and that's really not like them, they recruit DL very well. It's bad though.

USF has Ryne Giddins who's a RJr that hasn't done much if I understand correctly. I saw somewhere he had 8.5 sacks in his first two years. By game five whoever our LT is will be ready to face him IYAM. No one else seems to be any good for them.

NCSt loses their two best DL and seem to add little to no talent.

BC will be OMG bad on DL and lost Kuechly.

  • as a Michigan fan the late decision date has to hurt us, think he'll be a Nole...

Yes, the OL was bad last year, but the freshmen who were forced into duty due to a ridiculous amount of injuries acquitted themselves as well as could be expected. And the second half of the Champs bowl, with 3 Frosh on the line, I'd almost venture to say they played well.

    Roll Nole5

  • Miami's DL is really bad. Josue Matias vs Darius Smith will be a bad matchup for them. We'll run the ball all day there.

    Duke, LOL.

VT returns Gayle, Collins, and two Hopkins. Some good backups as well. VT will be the first true test after a number of warm up games and quiz level challenges, this is the first test. 10th game of the season, after a bye week!

    Maryland sucks.

Florida will have the best DL we've seen all year. They lack depth so a single injury could really shift the balance though. And who and how many of their "Big 3" DL finally breaks out and leads? We'll have an experienced, huge OL by that point though as well.

    fsufsu

  • one thing I feel certain in saying is EJ will be either a 'Nole or a Wolverine. He can either get on board the Hoke Express or buzz off. Not trying to sound like a dick, but that's just how I feel!

Hoke took freaking BALL STATE to a 12-1 record and damn near knocked off Lloyd Carr's Michigan squad with Henne and Jake Long in Ann Arbor. Then the guy goes to putrid San Diego State and takes a 2-10 team and turns them into a 9-4 team and got them their first bowl victory in like 30 years. Then the guy goes to Michigan and takes over a crap RichRod squad that got pounded by freaking Mississippi State (how pathetic is that) and turns them into an 11-2 team with a BCS bowl victory in Year 1. His first true recruiting class in 2012 was the balls (top 8 on every network) and his 2013 class is going to be even better.

I love me some Brady Hoke.

And do you remember what UF's DL did to our OL last year ?

Our OL didn't even belong on that field with them

Its hilarious that you guys think we will have a good OL, there is no way

Even a drastically improved unit will be middle of the pack in the ACC or at best 40's or 50's nationally

That still pretty much sucks in my book
