FSU QB EJ Manuel played through fractured leg in Champs Sports Bowl
EJ Manuel broke a bone in his left leg during Florida State's Champs Sports Bowl against Notre Dame in late December. The Seminoles' starting quarterback has healed 'nicely,' an FSU release said Tuesday. While he will practice in the spring session next month, five of his teammates won't.

In 2009, EJ played QB in the Gator Bowl against WVU
In that same game Geno Smith played most of the game for WVU at QB
EJ had the better game, got the W and MVP honors
Thus him having the better game head to head

That's admirable, shows good leadership, however that is common. A cracked bone like that only really hurts when directly impacted. I played my sophomore year with a broken tibia, just taped a butt pad to my leg and went to work. However the tubular is easier to play with since it is a bigger bone and is located in the front.
As a quarterback, good portion of his weight is all on the fibula, which is a thinner bone located in the back. So this had to be painful... props to EJ for being a warrior.
