  • I love the list for the Wolverines. ESPN clearly favors kids who play in their all-star game, works out for Michigan this year, but it is lame.

    Morris ranked too low IMO. (insert standard Michigan fans overrate Morris like crazy insult here)
    Conley ranked too high IMO. (I like Conley a lot but he played like 4 games last year, not sure how they ranked him this high)

    The rest of the rankings are just about right. Michigan has 11 in the top 150, Alabama had 13 last year as the #1 class.

    ESPN's rankings are notoriously bad every year. They do not devote enough resources to doing the rankings properly in the first place and then they move players up and down for "business" reasons. They are barely worth discussing.

    Like NoVa said though, ESPN's rankings are probably best for perception and exposure.

    Most people (casual non die hards) on signing day are probably watching ESPN or going on ESPN as opposed to 247, Scout, or Rivals. So having a top class on ESPN is a good thing for future prospects.

    Top talent draws top talent. When Michigan hired Hoke 13 or 14 months ago one of my main concerns was recruiting. Wow he has proved me wrong.

    I disagree. For me as much as I like 247, and trust their rankings it's tough to qualify them because of the lack of track record. I do think JC, Barton, Witfong etc know their stuff, and I imagine this will be the best site in terms of rankings just don't have to evidence to back it up YET.

    247 will be up there, if not the top before too long.

    I agree, let them have this one though. Michigan has more OL in the top 150 than PSU does total prospects in the 150.

    I'll take Hackenberg over anyone, you can nitpick and say Morris or Browne may be better, but Hack is right there. PSU may get the best OT in the Big Ten as well in Dorian Johnson.

    And I'll take Morris over everyone, and USC fans will take Browne over everyone. We are all incredibly bias towards our prospective signal callers.

    Congrats on Dorian Johnson if you land him, still doesn't take away from the fact Michigan's o-line is going to be ridiculous in 3 years.

    Michigan has more commits in the 150 than all the other B1G schools combined. I'll take it.

    You're entitled to your opinion. Browne is easily the #1 QB for me at this point. He has the frame, accuracy, arm... everything you look for. The only thing I would say Browne needs to work on is his footwork. He stays balanced, but he has the Sanchez happy feet. Morris I think has the highest ceiling, but he is still developing accuracy and consistency. He's got a rocket arm and the best footwork of the 3, and has experience under center.

    Agreed, and I'll be wearing the sig to prove it shortly enough.

    Michigan, tOSU, and PSU are blowing away the other schools on the recruiting trail. That is going to show itself on the field shortly IMO.
