Why do some Bama fans act so high and mighty? It wasn't so long ago that you guys sucked. It amazes me that fan bases when successful seem to forget the bad years (this does not just apply to Bama) College football (and sports in general) suffers through ups and downs and thanks to Saban you guys are on the up. Guess what.....most major programs have been there.

I know and i'm not acting high and mighty..we suffered through probation, embarassing losses, awful coaches, and down season not too long ago so you're not telling me something i dont know..i only said that because the last few years all you hear about during the offseason is how fsu is a top 5 team and should be competing for the NC...i'm not hating or anything because i like fsu i'm just not buying into the hype anymore

Funny thing is that most FSU fans maintained that we were rated much too high and that it was going to be a couple of years before we were in the hunt for the NC. I know that for some reason the media and the coaches poll hyped FSU last year BUT that is not the fans. Now I know that we have the insane, irrational fans (that are a part of any fan base) but most of us that had a brain and that were sane did not believe that we were a top 10 team last year. FWIW I still do not think that we are. My Noles have to prove something to me before I put them in that category. I do however believe that we have the talent and potential to win the ACC next year and go to a BCS bowl. This is what most sane FSU fans expect next year and anything else would just be whipped cream.

No problem. I guess with the recent success of Bama some of your fan base has really become unbearable (again I know that we also have some crazies). It probably does not help that I live in Atlanta and have shitloads of Bama, UGA, and UF fans that I catch flack from every time I go to a sports bar in a FSU sweatshirt. I know that the SEC rules the roost now but it hasn't always been that way and I hate to burst bubbles but it won't always be so. Hell USC looks really good and could take the title next year. Hopefully FSU can find an answer to our OL problem and utilize the talent we have brought in these past few years.

well i'm far from a "rub it in your face because we're better than you" fan because i know how much i freaking hate people like that...I know how cyclical college football can be and thats what makes it so exciting..i couldnt believe how quickly things turned around for us and hopefully things can stay that way...How many starters do you guys bring back? and whats the deal on the oline? poor recruiting? injuries? I know how mad you FSU guys get about trickett and the oline but how did it get that way

You know I have no Idea what happened with Trickett. He did not recruit like he needed to and then last year he brought in a shitload of linemen. Hopefully these guys will pan out but this year is looking lean again for OL recruits. We bring most of our starters back and I honestly think that the biggest concern for us as far as guys leaving is going to be Powell our punter and Mike Harris.

you say you aren't bitter, but it is hard to tell after reading that.... look it is as simple as this, Odell established a relationship with Eddie and his family... kids in this era commit more to COACHES, than schools themselves..... so it was more than nipples that sold him on FSU..... maybe he is tired of the cold weather and crab cakes....
