I agree. It is wonderful when everyone becomes an expert on everything when all they know is a 15 second blip from ESPN.

It is the same with NCAA violations. If they are on your school, they are always unfair and too harsh. If they are on another school, they got away with murder.

Everyone has an agenda..........but none of their opinions really matter, nor has their lives actually been affected by the situation.

There are more people that care more that some recruit is going to come to their school instead of Penn St in this matter than there are people that really care about whether or not the justice system works.

The one thing that bothered me in McQueary's story is that all he heard was what "might have been" skin on skin slapping. To me, that easily could have been splashes of water cascading off their bodies and hitting the tile below. The sound is eerily similar as I noticed while showering at the gym today. Throw in the echo factor of a large, empty gym shower!

If a full grown adult male was anally raping a ten year old boy, I would assume that there would be screaming. I'd assume that there would also be blood.

I'm going to be blunt about this, but if Sandusky could not fit, then you must acquit.

And there are plenty of PSU fans that think he is guilty as well.

There are plenty of people outside of PSU that probably share some of those opinions that they shared. Everyone is allowed to have an opinion on the matter and it is only natural that those closer to the issue are going to have more varying opinions than those removed from the situation.

Again, the only opinions that really matter though are the 12 people in the courtroom.

if i felt like it, i could go back and pull thread after thread after thread that supported sandusky and joe pa simply because they are penn state through and through. they aren't hard to find. i don't know about other fanbases or websites, but we've got a 6500 post thread going on shaggybevo documenting this whole episode from day 1. yes, we were the ones who sent pedobear to your bowl game.

there are plenty of blind homers in every fanbase. if mack brown killed kittens live and in color on abc at halftime of the tx-ou game, you'd have longhorns that swore up and down it didn't happen and it was all a sooner conspiracy led by barry switzer. i would hope that the majority of psu fans are as disgusted by this as everyone else, but as in all cases, the ugly minority is what gets seen/heard.

I'm not trying to be combative here, but the psu fan base will have to deal with this for many years to come. People aren't just going to sweep this under the rug and not speak about it. Sandusky deserves the worst punishment Jeffrey dahmer could ever imagine.

I don't think it is up to you to speak for your fan base as a whole. I wish nothing but the best for psu going forward. I hope that once a decision is made conversation about it slows down. I guess you have to have faith in our justice system at times like this. That being said you aren't going to stop people from speculating about the outcome of the trial, and what they feel the sentence should be.

No one made you open the threads. If you don't want to see what people on this board are saying, don't read the thread.

Good luck to psu going forward.

Okay, find me the threads that support Sandusky. And by support I mean things like "geez, they are really screwing JS over" or "I hope is he found not guilty on all the charges!". Something like "there isn't enough evidence to support a conviction on this charge" is not supporting Sandusky. I don't think you understand the difference.

no, i really don't understand the difference. anyone who doesn't think there is enough evidence to convict is a blind homer. and yes, i get that there are 48 charges so if you want to get nit-picky and single out one weak charge, congrats on your "moral" victory.

and i'd say it's safe to assume joyce porter is a penn state fan, being a resident of state college for 40+ years.

You do understand that people can say that he will be found not guilty of some charges and guilty of others based on the evidence and testimony? Because that is what you will find on the PSU boards, and it is a consistent thought. I'm not sure why you think that is being a "blind homer".

Joyce Porter is Jerry's longtime (4 decades) friend. Linked is a story about her. Note that it says Sandusky's group of supporters is 6-10 people and they are made up of friends and family. That is what you want to judge the State College and PSU community on?
