Espn 30 for 30... "Benji" Airs at 7 ct tonight

These are excellent.
"Benji" airs tomorrow. I can't wait for this one. Such a sad story but I'm glad they're doing a 30/30 on Benji

Oh it is tragic and sad. He was a good kid, just in the wrong place at wrong time. There are theories but from all accounts it was just a tragic situation.

It is a sad story.. He was a good kid.. Was the #1 overall recruit in the country.. I remember this so i think this will be a good episode.. Kid was an honor student and a good dude

Considering the violence in Chicago this year, Benji could potentially be a really timely piece. Hopefully it leads to some opened eyes and productive discussion.

Yeah I hate ESPN as well, but got the set of the older 30/30 series as presents. Got through most of them, have enjoyed them for the most part.
If I ever had a kid that was turning into an athlete, I'd immediately sit them down and show them some of these, first of all "Broke."

Meh...nothing special. All these ESPN hacks talking about on Twitter how they cried?!?! Not the best 30/30 I've seen. Left me thinking it was his fault and the other dummy was stupid for having a gun. Kept thinking it had something to do with the girlfriend like a love triangle. When I was in 8th grade i remember hearing about Marcus Liberty and he was in 6th grade! Chicago basketball back in the day was the fertile ground of studs.

Found it very interesting that his girlfriend wouldn't interview. Also interesting to hear both sides of the story but the girlfriend never told hers, who knows what really happened!?
