  • I was able to watch Terrance while working for another site and saw him being a project. I wasn't sure if he would be a WR or Safety. He was rated a 2 star and playing at W.T. White didn't get too many recruiters on his trail. He was the best player on the field, but his district was notoriously weak outside of Dallas Carter. He was a 6'3 185 4.6 coming into Baylor and has put in time in the weight room to now be listed at 6'2 205 and ran a 4.48 this summer on laser timing.

  • The first two quarterbacks Oregon offered in that class were Marcus Mariota and Johnny Manziel. Fun facts.

    Mind = blown.

As an aside, I know Phillip Thomas from Fresno State was a first-team DB...bet he was hugely underrated like many from Bako (Ryan Mathews sticks out).

  • Lol you think you hit with Barrett Jones?!

The guy's been an AA twice and won the Outland Trophy at LT!

Guy could even win the award for best center this year- and since he's played 3 positions you have to compare him to ALL O-lineman to come out in his class and since. And you think #150 something over all in his class was right?

I mean you guys are great but admit it, you got this one wrong.

  • Can someone explain to me how Franklin made it before Barner at RB with less yards, less YPC and almost half the TDs?

Jones will be lucky to be a 1st round pick.

They got his rating about right.

Really, the purpose of the article isn't to debate the All-American team at all.

Really? Perhaps the title shouldn't be "Evaluating the CBS All American Team." Just saying.

You need to reread the title.

    Just saying.

Did you read the title or the intro or the article? It's a look back on how these players were ranked as recruits.

Not the place to debate their selections. Wasn't the point of the article.

  • totally disagree with the Bailey comments. Bailey can definitely be an outside receiver! He has fantastic hands and is a great route runner. No mention of Bailey's eye popping 23 td receptions? C'mon man! Calling him a "system WR" is an undeserved diss!

None of this is meant to diss anybody. These guys are All-Americans. If anything it is meant to be critical/transparent about recruiting rankings.

On Bailey, we will see what the pros say. I am not interested in any stats from a league that plays no defense, but I think he's a heck of a receiver regardless. Franchise guy? Who knows.

Lol I know right. BJ is the definition of franchise player. He deserves a 102 ranking. A four star? Ya right
